Selected this light bulb for use as the center lamp in an antique light fixture in our formal dining room where its dimming capabilities would provide an appropriate ambiance ( see attached photograph of fixture ). Unfortunately, due to its rather large physical size, it could not be installed in the center of the fixture and is also too large as a replacement for the outer candelabra style bulbs. a smaller version of this lamp would definitely qualify for five stars.

15 Watt Dimmable LED Light Bulb. Designed to be hung or in a stand with no shade. Good looking bulb, clear glass with copper base. Looks like a light stick in a clear normal bulb. The whole bulb doesn't light, just the inner stick. I used mine in a glass shade above my kitchen sink. Makes a nice low cost night light when dimmed to the appropriate level. Package says electrical cost is 36 cents per year. Not sure if that means "on" for a full year or under normal use. The bulb was larger than I expected but I should have read the specs. Still fit nicely in my light.

Suitable more for mood lighting rather than task lighting due to it being only 15w. I put the bulb in a hanging pendant over my breakfast bar. It's nice to have the dimmable feature. The bulb itself is quite long (5-1/2"). The bulb is made to be seen. Unfortunately my hanging pendant has an opaque shade so the bulb won't be seen. The bulb has a bronze base which makes it very stylish.

This bulb is a little bit whiter than I had expected/hoped, but other than that, it's great. The filament (or whatever the actual light-producing part in led bulbs is called) is not a style I've seen before, and along with the unique shape of the bulb, makes it a great choice for use in a situation where the bulb is exposed (which, I'm pretty sure, is the idea).
