the way the glass is made bugs do climb inside of the glass and it's a pain to bring it down and clean it. I definitely would NOT recommend it. I hate cleaning up bugs or trying to find a sealer of some sort.

This is a very attractive light but it is not around the edge of the glass allowing bugs to fill inside the glass very quickly. So you will be taking it down alot to remove bugs. I am returning this product, poor design. See pictures!

Overall nice lamp. For the price I would have expected thicker metal and glass. If you are looking for a nice overall lamp that is not plastic, this is a good choice; the bubbled glass looks nice and is true glass. If you want good light output just switch the bulbs for some LED ones like I did. It does make the light look like wearing socks with sandals but, heck I need to see. I am no a fan of the old looking bulbs, they were a "thing" 10 yrs ago but unfortunately they don't produce any lighting. Installation is straight forward. Although, I didn't like that the whole lamp is held by a center nut. While it does make for easy mounting, it makes the whole lamp a little wobbly (as compared to lamps that are attached to the junction box bracket using two screws). The bracket holding the glass is attached with two hand-tighten screws which isn't bad.

Great light fixture with metal base and authentic-looking (antique) glass. Installation was super easy - base plate goes into ceiling and attaches to the base of the light fixture with a nut. Makes it an easy installation, as you don't have to support glass, etc while attaching wires. Tip: attach ground wire first at short length, so you don't have to support base fixture while attaching other wires, etc. The only tricky part on installation was attaching two bolts on each side into the base plate to support the glass enclosure. You have to make sure it is properly aligned (vertically) and with limited room to "play" (and my big fingers) - it was a bit of an ordeal... :) But with patience - it will be a quick fix. We did not install the antique-looking bulbs, as we installed this fixture in our laundry room and needed more lumens (light) to make it functional. Overall - very clean and neat-looking light! Suitable for moist/wet locations! RECOMMEND!!!

Another great added on to our new home, where we are currently swapping out the generic, cheap dome lights that are in every room. This fixture easily matched the finish of our other lights but still gives a different appeal as its located between our boys' bedroom. The design is bolder and clean, with the finish on the metal and the look of the glass standing out. The glass is the air bubble look, offering a nice touch to the hallway. The materials are not as strong, as there are 4 metal tabs on the inside that hold the glass in place and the paint chipped off while taking the wrapping off the glass. The fixture does not come bulbs, so an additional purchase has to be made to get the full effect shown on the box but will ensure the light has the look we want. Installing was easily done as it was a matter of attaching the bracket to the box, the base to the rod, adjusting for the height and then screwing in the glass cover. It took more time to find the breaker the light was attached to than to install the light.
