Are the USB ports compatible with Apple iPads and IPhones (these normally won't work with generic power adapters), or will I still have to plug the charger into one of the outlets?
Asked by: steve
Yes - I have my iPad and iPhone plugged in for recharging and as fickle as they can sometimes be, they have not once complained.

Does the platic prong used for stabitily plug into gfi outlets or the squared outlets? Or just the older style outlets.

I recenty purchased one that wouldnt allow for the plastic piece to go in the bottom outlet.
Asked by: Ry
I use just the older outlets but I'm sure it can be used with newer outlets also

how does this plug into the wall?

we cannot see how it gets its power. do we need a seperate cord or do we need to wire it in?
Asked by: rangepainter
It plugs into a regular wall outlet with a three prong plug in the back. Just like you would plug a surge protector into an outlet.
