Product Details

Globe Electric's 3W (60W equivalent) Vintage A-Type LED Bulb. In the early days of electrical lighting, inventors such as Thomas Edison tested and retested as they searched for long-burning filaments. In 1890, the filament choice was carbonized cotton. Globe Electric's bulbs have a tungsten filament, which is used to reproduce the single hairpin loop of a vintage design. Position it within a clear shade or exposed socket to enjoy its shape and ambient glow. This Edison inspired bulb is a Steampunk favorite with its glowing cage-shaped filament surrounding a central glass support. Crafted to preserve the look of early 20th-century lighting. Please note, these bulbs are not as bright as modern bulbs of the same wattage and are recommended for exposed socket fixtures these bulbs can be dimmed.

            Looks great
Got this Globe Electric's 3W (60W equivalent) Vintage LED Bulb to go into a industrial Steam Punk style lamp. With Globe Electric's tungsten filament this bulb puts off a warm yellow orange glow. The filament is a single hairpin loop of a vintage design. Position it within a clear shade or exposed socket to enjoy its shape and ambient glow. This Edison style bulb is Crafted to preserve the look of early 20th-century lighting. These bulbs are not as bright as modern bulbs of the same wattage and are recommended for exposed socket fixtures these bulbs can be dimmed.

A retro vintage classic shape light bulb using led's
Another nice example of choices we now have in light bulbs brought about with the use of leds- using less electricity and lasting longer. This is a retro style bulb with filaments that replicate Edison's filaments with a amber tinted globe. It is equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent but uses 7.5 watts to produce 650 lumen of very warm colored light- 2000K. We have several lights in our home on timers so we never come home to a dark house- and this bulb is used in such a lamp in our entranceway - and stays on most of the night.

Looks like the original style light bulbs.
This is a perfect match for decorative lamps and others where you want the original style of the fillament bulbs. Yet it only used 7.5 watts. Which mean pennies whenever you turn on the light instead of dollars. Basically you have the look for the decorative or the industrial look that you want, but over time you won't be pending a bunch to turn on the switch. Not to mention LED runs cooler that the older style bulbs. So no extra heat added to the room either. So worth it!

            A Nice Average Bulb
This is supposed to be a soft white bulb, but it has amber glass. It is not what I expected. It does work in the right place though. At a 60 watt equivalent using 7.5 watts, it will be energy efficient yet bright at 650 lumens. It has a 5 year warranty and is dimmable with a vintage look. It does not have the little point on top that you see on many vintage bulbs. I didn’t care for it in my pendant but do like it in the small lamp. The bulb works well and is fine in the small lamp that I used it in, but to use it in a place where the bulb is exposed, I like a white bulb instead of the amber.

            Great Idea
I love these bulbs. As I remodel my home I am decorating with Old World Traditional and Modern Decors. With modern stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and Bodega styling tiles and colors throughout the home, these bulbs make the transition possible. I am not a fan of the bright white glare that comes from typical LED lighting, but I do like the energy savings. In the first photo you can see the difference in 3 types of bulbs. Left is an incandescent bulb. Middle is the amber vintage LED (which is dimmable also). And right is a regular white LED bulb. I like the glow of the visible filaments through the amber glass and they do not produce the harsh glare. 5 Stars GLOBE ELECTRIC

            Loving the Vintage LEDs
I remember being such a skeptic when LEDs first came out. So expensive and who understood that wattage equivalent rating? In the beginning, choices of bulb wattage and bases and shapes of bulbs were almost non-existent and forget dimmable. Well, hasn't that all changed? When I go to Home Depot now I have a whole aisle of LEDs to choose from. My wife and I are really liking the new "vintage" LEDs for our kitchen pendant lights. Such a unique look and soft, warm yellowish glow. This particular bulb is dimmable and a 60 watt equivalent and has a globe shape. We are very happy with the look and, of course, like all LEDs , it will likely last for longer than I will.

great light bulb with a classic-look
I love the classic look of this bulb. Ideally, I would use it with a clear light cover to fully enjoy the filament-look of the bulb, but this bulb still provides beautiful ambient light with a frosted shade. This light is dimmable, which is an added bonus, and because it is LED, it is conserves energy. Though the description says that because the goal of the bulb was to re-create a classic look, it would not be as bright as modern 60-watt equivalent bulbs, I found the bulb to be bright enough

            Classy looking bulb
This is a light bulb that has a warm old-style glow to it and will compliment any room, especially a room with antique furniture in it or an office with wood paneling wainscoting. The light it puts off is comparable to a sixty-watt bulb with a fraction of the electricity cost do to it being a LED bulb. It is dimmable and has a standard base. The filament arraignment inside the clear bulb is great looking and unique.

            Great color
A great vintage look using modern LED technology. The slightly amber color creates a warm, cozy light but it's also a little less bright than a comparable 60 Watt incandescent bulb. If lighting an area is your highest priority but still want the vintage look, you may want to consider a brighter version. The bulbs are dimmable, so you could still get the effect of a lower wattage bulb for those times you're looking for a warming glow. The bulb can be used anywhere that accepts a standard medium base. It's slightly smaller than a typical 60W, so you should have no problem using it in a smaller lamp designed to hold a 25W incandescent and because it consumes only 7.5W, you'll still be well below the rating of the lamp.

            Nice looking bulb
This bub is cool looking. Has an old fashioned, retro look. It provides 60 watts of light while only using 7 watts of power so it is very energy efficient and should last for years and years. The light the bulb put out is a bit on the yellow side, I think it is called "soft white" as far as color goes. I would use this bulb somewhere that people can see what the filament looks like, the look makes the bulb more interesting.
