How high is the switch on this lamp. I am short and find it hard to reach the switch on many of these lamps.

Love this lamp. First thing was I got the bulbs that where suggested. These are not dimmable. Second bulb I purchased was a dimmable but it only lights on Med. I would live some help with this as I can't seem to find the correct dimmable bulb

Where is the on/off switch located? It states that it by the socket. I'm assuming that if this is true then you will need to put your hand into the glass shade in order to turn it on and off? Can I use a timer on this lamp and an LED bulb?
It’s on the outside of the lamp, just beneath the glass shade
