Q:I am replacing a flush mount with a base that is 12" dia. The base diameter is not listed. With textured ceilings the new fixture must be equal to the old or greater, otherwise I'll see a circle mark. Can anyone tell me the real diameter of the light?

Very Nice
I really like this light fixture. I had a very old, ugly light prior to replacing it with this one. Looks nice and modern. Electrician had it installed in no time at all.

Recreating a farmhouse look in my 100+ home
Easy to install. I had to buy a longer nipple (metal post to affix fixture to ceiling plate) but it works perfectly in my remodeling plans! I had to remodel this "all plaster" room after a flooding incident and the lighting project was the easiest part!

Beautiful Gold Light
The Globe electric Annecy gold semi-flush mount ceiling light is beautiful. It is a contemporary industrial type of light that would go anywhere in the home. We plan to use it in our entranceway as a dramatic and elegant way to enter our house. The shades are clear glass and will display any type of classic light bulb we put in it because they provide easy access to the sockets. It is versatile and can work as a dimmable unit if a dimming switch is installed.

Plenty of light. Great light fixture!
This is a really awesome light fixture. It allows for plenty of light to brighten up any room as the glass is clear and does not distract or cut down on the bulbs brightness. I placed two of these products in my home and it truly brightens up any area. I use LED bulbs which use 13 watts of electricity. It’s a really good looking item and I am thoroughly enjoying them. Great product and price.

O.K. - Not Great
We acquired this fixture to replace a very cheap ceiling fan we had over the kitchen table in a second home we have. That ceiling fan was very functional for its purpose, but lacked any pizzazz and would likely be a deterrent to any potential buyers. We had already installed a gold tone chandelier in the dining room and thought this light might compliment that one.
But, the "gold" finish turned out to be more yellow than gold. It's also very thin and easily marred. Even wiping strongly with a rough cloth will blemish it.
The metal components of this fixture are quite flimsy and easily distorted. In fact, the down rods for the lamps were not plumb to the base and had to be bent a bit after installation to point straight down and parallel to each other.
Bulbs were not provided and we added some Edison style, LEDs we had on hand from a previous purchase at HD. Some will like that. Others won't.
Once again, the manufacturer placed a maximum wattage lable right on the side of one of the lamp bases where it is unsightly. And really not a necessity in this day and age of LED bulbs with a much lower heat output than equivalent incandescent bulbs anyway. We were able to remove the label only leaving a minor blemish on the finish. It would be so much better if the manufacturers attached such labels where hey would not be so apparent.
One thing this fixture had going for it in our instance was, it was a simple and direct replacement for the fan. It took less than 15 minutes for the R&R standing on a step stool.
Overall this was the salability improvement we were seeking. But, we expected better quality at this price point. We would only recommend it for use in circumstances where it can't be closely observed after installation such as a high stairwell or, to get rid of something unacceptable such as our old fan.

Great Glass Globes
This ceiling light has 3 large glass globes that hang from the ceiling. The finish is a power black matte with almost no shine to it. It quite striking compared to shiny glass. The glass globes get attached to the base of the lamp with 3 screws (to be finger tightened). The width of the base is about 13" across. The three lights extend down 3", 5" and 7". The fixture takes 3 standard bulb bases. I used 3 LED, daylight, elongated "edison" blubs. I think their style goes very well with the glass globes. A real clean look. The bulbs are 800 lumens (60w equivelent) but using only 8 watts of power. So the fixture, as I'm using it, outputs about 2400 lumens; only consuming 24w of power, with bulbs that should last over 13 years. Very energy efficient. And it's a beautiful looking light fixture. The fixture with all 3 globes attached weights a little over 3 lbs, it was very easy to install on an existing ceiling box. It took me less than 5 minutes to install. One hint, install the globes after the fixture is connected to ceiling box (one screw nut in the center), getting to the center hole is much easier without the globes attached. I'm extatic about the modern clean look of this light and it's bright light output. Such a great looking light.

Stylish!
Really nice looking and stylish light. It’s very bright with 3 60 watt bulbs! The only reason I’m giving only 4 stars is because one of light posts is slightly crooked so the glass is slightly crooked. It’s not really noticeable to others, I just know it’s there and it bothers me.

Replaced shades
I wrote an earlier review but didn't have a picture. I found the shades bland even with Edison bulbs. These replacement shades are off the shelf from Home Depot.

Initially I thought this fixture would hang too low in my laundry/pantry area but it turned out to be the perfect size. I love the color and pattern of the glass which matches other house fixtures. The light has LED bulbs in it and gives off more than enough light to illuminate the laundry area. The instructions were very easy. Once you are used to doing a little electrical work, it's white to white and black to black and twist the ground wire on the green screw. The hardest part is figuring out which fuse shuts off the electric to the fixture. I had to adjust the existing plate so that the fixture base would sit flush to the ceiling as well as so the knob that screws on to hold the base to the electric box would also sit flush and not have a gap. Easy peasy. My only concern would be the screws burrowing into the glass covers seemed a little weak for the weight of the glass but it is holding up well.
