I love that this is a plug in sconce (with an option to hardwire). It was so simple to hang. It took me about ten minutes total from unboxing to turning the light on. I hung the back plate, slid the light onto it, screwed it securely, screwed in a lightbulb, plugged it in and voila! I love the white and brass. Traditional but trendy all at the same time. The arm swings and the angle of the light is adjustable. I wish the metal "shade" was a bit thicker metal, would make it feel a little more upscale. And there was a small scuff on the shade and dirty smudge on the cord. I think the cord would be a bit nicer if there was a little more texture to the weave of the material or maybe a subtle pattern in black. But I do like the clear acrylic plug. Overall a cute light and adds great function for a reading light next to my daughter's bed.

This is a good lamp for the right application. I'm using it in a small area designated as a computer hutch but I can see it being used above a desk in a home office or for kids homework space. I wouldn't call it top quality but it's well made and versatile.
It can be installed directly to the wall and powered by the attached electrical cord, or it can be hard wired (permanently mounted) using the included wall/outlet bracket, like a sconce.
The entire lamp pivots left or right via the hinged bracket and the shade (diffuser) also swivels in and out and has a wing nut to lock into place. The cord is exceptionally heavy duty, is made with braided nylon coating often found on many higher priced items.
It's a good lamp for the price with many of the features you'd find on a much more expensive lamp of similar design.

Purchased for my work from home space and needed something...
Purchased for my work from home space and needed something inexpensive. This might be the fault of it's cheapness, but the white wall plate does not hold to the wall at the top because the side screws don't have hardly anything to grip to to keep it in place. The light tips forward, causing about a half inch gap at the top of the white wall mount plate. It's not hard wired otherwise I probably would have returned but it falls into the category of "good enough" for now. Might play with it and see if I can fix eventually.
