Easy to put together
Much smaller than I thought but to be fair, I didnt measure. Looks tiny next to my couch. I’ll probably move to a different room because I still really like it.

This lamp was very easy to assemble, the vertical shaft has the cord pulled through the center of the vertical support. The shaft is in multiple sections and screws together easily. The base is nice and heavy, which is necessary to counterbalance the large globe mounted on the horizontal arm.
The gold color is consistent throughout the piece and looks very nice.The lamp comes with a floor button - step on it to turn the light on and off. The lamp takes a 60 watt bulb, and is nice and bright.
It is a nice lamp, and nice addition to any room.

This floor lamp is nice. It has a floor switch which is very convenient where I'm using the lamp. The brushed brass finish is nice. It has a sort of 70's appearance with the globe-like shade.
Putting the lamp together was pretty easy. There are instructions included with the lamp, but they are not needed to put the lamp together. There are four pipes to screw together, one end of the pipe is then screwed into the lamp's arm and and the other end is screwed into the base.
The head of the lamp can pivot side to side, there's a ball-type joint to point the lamp's beam up and down. It can pivot upwards to where it's pointing horizontally but cannot point upwards. The light beam is directional so it doesn't light up the whole room. Great for when you want a certain part of the room with additional illumination. It's five feet in height so you may want to put it next to a recliner, desk, reading chair, or chaise lounge chair.
The base of the lamp is heavy enough to prevent the lamp from tilting about.
It takes a standard light bulb. I put in an LED bulb for longevity's sake. The inside of the globe is white so light is reflected out.

The Globe Electric floor lamp was packed very securely with styrofoam and bubble wrap, which is fortunate because the exterior box was almost torn up and it had "Fragile. Handle With Care " on the outside of the box.We saw the delivery person drop it as well. It is a miracle that the lamp was not damaged. This was not the fault of Home Depot or the vendor but I am mentioning it in the event the vendor reads this in case they want to change shipping companies.The instructions were clear and assembly took under ten minutes. The lamp is very attractive and is suitable for a variety of decorating styles. The on/off switch is on the cord at floor level. It takes an E26 medium base maximum 60 watts bulb, which is not included. I purchased the Globe Electric vintage Edison bulb.I am using the lamp on carpet in a bedroom. It is lightweight but sturdy enough.(It will rock a little) I am not using this lamp to read by because I prefer a 100 watt bulb for reading. There is no warranty on this lamp, which is surprising. I am satisfied with this product.

I loved this lamp so much, I have re-ordered in hopes the second one comes in looking better. I was issued a return label to send back the original one. I sent several pictures over to show my concerns before the return label was issued. It did take longer than expected to arrive also which made my cringe when re-ordering since its for my baby nursery and we are on a tight time frame...then have to re-order. The base has little rust spots all around it. The outside of the globe has white overspray around the edges and visible. The inside has creases and runs from the paint. For the price it is good quality, just several several flaws that I hope are fixed on the second shipment.
