I love the white lantern against my newly painted siding. It is bright and fresh. The seeded glass looks lovely as well. It is the perfect size and shape, and illuminates the area brightly. The design is very pretty and natural. It is also easy to get my hand in to add a bulb, and protects it against the elements. I love everything about this fixture!

Classic lantern style, solidly built. This Globe Electric Norman lantern light is sturdy and well built and has that traditional old fashioned lantern look but the material and finish look high end, modern and well made. The black finish is sleek and smooth and really gives this a high quality feel. Heavyweight metal, no plastic, nothing cheap looking at all. It would work well indoors or out. Installs in the usual way, hard wired to an existing wall light box. The glass is a really cool watery seeded look. An Edison style elongated bulb is included which completes that vintage lantern look. The installation of this light will improve the look of your porch, patio, entry, etc. Very impressed with the quality of this light.

This review is for the Globe Electric white, outdoor, wall light in their Norman motif. I used this light to replace an older wall light at the house entrance to my paver deck. We do a lot of entertaining and light quality is very important for esthetics and safety. Sections of the deck are elevated and I don’t want guest tripping but at the same time want to set an inviting atmosphere by not having it too bright. This light worked out well. The light output was just right, not too overwhelming but bright enough. The light is well built and the wall plate is attractive and is large enough to cover most electric boxes. It was very easy to install using just two nuts to securely fasten it to the wall. The glass bulb enclosure with the clear seeded glass gives the fixture a nice unique appearance when it is turned on. The fixture’s attractive white finish goes well with my yellow and white exterior walls. I changed out the provided incandescent bulb with a LED 65 watt equivalent one for energy savings. The only feature that I didn’t like is the open bottom on the glass which gives night flying insects open access. This is a minor issue that may require more frequent cleaning compared to a fixture with a sealed bulb enclosure. Other than that no issues and I recommend the Globe Electric light from Home Depot as a good buy.

This wall mount lantern is well made. I really like the style of this light fixture. The included light bulb has eight soft amber glow wires. It gives the impression of an old fashioned light bulb. It can be installed indoor or outdoor, however, I am using it as a porch light. The glass shade has bubbles in the glass to give the appearance of antique glass. It would also look nice as a garage accent on both sides of a garage door.

We have owned this Gorgeous Outdoor Light by Globe Electric for 5 days, came packaged very well, professional with no problems at all. This is a beautiful Outdoor or Indoor Sconce Norman 1- Light that is made of metal, in a stunning black finish, with a clear beautiful seeded glass shade. How nice that it comes with a included blub with a standard E26 Base. This is a Incandescent Bulb that is a vintage Edison style blub. It does not put out a lot of light but has such a Cool looking vibe to it. We opted to put in a 60 Watt LED Daylight Bulb to give us sufficient light for our patio. This Fixture was very easy to install to the existing standard wall electrical box. This is a hard-wired installation that requires just a phillips screwdriver . It took my husband around 15 minutes including removing the old fixture. With it's weight being less than 5 lb it was very easy for my husband to install it by himself. Depending on how high it is mounted on a wall it may take 2 people. This Globe Electric Norman Sconce brings a timeless old world vintage style to your home, also with a modern finish and a sleek craftsmanship. Which simply screws in to the E26 Base and with an app and your smart-phone you can change the color output of the bulb, how fantastic is that. You are able to create different colors and effects during different seasons of the year or different times of the day, that is so appreciated. This light fixture is also compatible with a dimmer switch as long as you use the correct dimmer switch for the type of bulb your using. Such as incandescent halogen, Or LED. Great white outdoor light. Reminiscent of old english street lanterns. Good medium sized wall sconce that is decorative plus functional. Good sized oval wall plate and the actual lantern is attached to the wall plate. Can take one 60 watt bulb and easily use a led bulb. Simple design and great for any type of style you have. Versatile. The white is perfect for a patio entrance where I am using. This fixture is effective and stylish . And I use 60 watt yellow bulbs outside to keep bugs at bay.
