Does this fixture rust?
Hi Loriel, thank you for your inquiry. This fixture has a dry/damp rating so while it is suitable for outdoors it still needs to be covered from the rain. Otherwise it is possible that it may eventually rust.
Has anyone had issues with bugs getting inside the globe and then having a collection of dead bugs at the bottom? I love the look of the light but don't want to have to be opening it up to clean out dead bugs all the time.
I'm in Ohio... 2+ years and not one bug in either of mine and they're on every night.

Can this be installed directly onto exterior aluminum siding or does it need to be mounted to a fixture plate?
It comes with a mounting bracket that I mounted on my aluminum siding but I also have wood siding underneath that I could secure the bracket to securely. The bracket is an X that's adjustable with studs on it that the lamp mounts to.
