Without an active Nest Aware subscription, features that will not be enabled include 30 days of Video History, 24/7 continuous recording, access to clips and time lapses and even customizing your own activity zones. Alternatively, we recommend still getting an active subscription as you will get the best experience with your Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen), since you will get all these features, and the benefit of having all your video recordings saved into the Google Nest cloud. You only get access to a trailing 3 hours of footage. With subscription its a few weeks/month
I'm sure how much is, but the storage on the cloud of the videos is the par that needs to be paid everything else works as it should.
Can Nest Aware Plus be used with the battery operated doorbell?
Yes, it can. You can get 60 days of event video history with Nest Aware Plus with Nest Doorbell (Battery). However, 24/7 video history is only available for wired Google Nest cameras and doorbells models. Not available for Nest Doorbell (battery), even with optional wired installation.

Can it record to a dvr or anything like that?
No - it only records to a google Nest aware cloud subscription plan - cheapest one is $6/month but you get event history recorded for 30 days, or for 12/month for events 60 days PLUS 24x7 recording for 10 days for the $12 plan (no 24x7 for the $6 plan) - and these plans are for an any numbers of such google/nest cameras at one home location.
All Google Nest cameras and doorbells upload and securely save video in the cloud, where it’s protected from theft and damage. Once your camera/doorbell’s video is safely uploaded, you can access it anytime using the Nest app or Home app. But for your doorbell to upload video to the cloud, it needs to be connected to Wi-Fi and the Nest service. Also, with an Event Video History subscription, your doorbell only saves clips to the cloud when it detects important sound or motion. With 24/7 Video History, your doorbell saves all footage to the cloud anytime it’s connected to power and streaming video.
Does it come in white like the battery version?

What size transformer is required
Nest Hello Doorbell needs to be powered by wires delivering 16 - 24 V AC, and at least 10 VA (in North America) or 12 - 24 V AC and at least 8 VA (in Europe). A traditional doorbell system uses very little power, but Nest Hello has specific power requirements so the camera can continuously record video, so make sure that the transformer (power supply) meets the specific power requirements.
