Q:Has anyone used this with a Craftsman 9-17816 (over 5 gallons)? The description says it's compatible but the dimensions given are different from my existing filter. Also the "compatible models" only lists the Ridgid ones. Will it work or not?

Hard to find correct Cleanstream filter for older Craftsman & Ridgid vacs
I bought the Cleanstream Pro HEPA 09093 filter but it didn't fit my Ridgid vacs bcuz the filter cage has a threaded stud & filter supposed to be held by a nut. So I had to buy a Cleanstream 09085 filter (found 1 on eBay) & the 09085 fit my Ridgid vac perfectly & works very well
Either HD should carry the Cleanstream 09085 filter or Cleanstream should revise the lower end cover so the stud can go thru

Excellent filter, fits New Ridgid NXT Qwik Lock 14 gallon vac, HD1400 perfectly.
I have owned Gore CleanStream filters in my Craftsman and Ridgid vacs used in professional new construction and remodel work. Packed with drywall dust, cellulose insulation and the filter doesnt clog! Long lasting, with recommended care. I am still using my original 20+ year old CleanStream in a Craftsman wet/dry vac in some of my job site vac's. Reason I bought to replace my new Rigid's vac supplied with paper filter. I spent more, but it performs and it lasts! For those that have fitment complaints, Gore has more website information on fitment of replacement CleanStream filters, along with Home Depot on filter dimensions.

What a great design
Completely enclosed perfection. For my vacuum it is perfect. And it does not fall apart when you wash it. I’ve lost 2 rigid filters like that. So this filter makes sense to me

According to cleanstreams website, filter Part Number: 09093, this filter fits vacs with the Quik Lok. This couldn't be further from the truth. Bought a new Ridgid shop vac with quiklok based on the fact that Cleanstreams site said this filter would fit, bought the Cleanstream filter sitting on the sheld nearby. They do not fit. Even more, Cleanstream in all their wisdom chose not to put any kind of part number on their packaging. Fail on this one. Taking it all back to the store.

I Always Get These GoreStream Filters for my Wet/Dry Vacs
This is the 3rd Gore CleanStream filter I have purchased. I just got a new Ridgid Shop Vacuum and was very disappointed in the paper filter that it comes with. It got clogged very easily with dust and drywall powder. So I went ahead and purchased another CleanStream filter for this new vac and I can feel the difference when I use it. It just works and sucks up all the drywall dust with no problems. Cleanup is also a breeze because it's stiff enough that you can spray it with a hose without ruining it, unlike the paper filters. For just a little more than a standard paper filter replacement, you can have a Gore CleanStream filter that will last the life of the vacuum. I consider that a great deal and a great performer.
