This roll of Gorilla black all weather tape is great stuff! It's waterproof, super strong, and is weather resistant, too. The label does say that it works in both hot & cold temperatures, though I find it harder to use in the winter temperatures. The tape stiffens up and doesn't seem as sticky when it's cold. During warmer temperatures, this tape works like a dream. Overall, I would highly recommend this tape. Another great product from the Gorilla brand!

Just what I needed to hold the insulation on my outside A/C compressor lines. I think this tape will outlast the insulation! Typical of an outside A/C compressor, I have a foam type insulation covering the refrigerant lines. The installer used a kind of duct tape that lasted maybe 5 years. I replaced it with the regular Gorilla tape 10 years ago. It is finally starting to degrade. Enter this outdoor specific product. This is exactly what I need for this application. It doesn't feel as sticky as the regular Gorilla tape, but that's OK. It actually makes it easy to apply. Once applied, it is very well attached. Based on my experience with the regular tape, I'm confident this will last until I need compressor replacement. The plastic feel of the tape sheds water, and hopefully will be UV resistant. The only thing I don't like is it is not cheap.

Gorilla 1.88 in. x 25 yd. Black All Weather Tape, Blacks - a Home Depot Seeds Program Review I’m a believer in the adage that there are two essential items needed for repairs. If something doesn’t move and should, use WD-40. If something does move and shouldn’t, use duct tape. This Gorilla All Weather Tape fits the latter category – and very well! I’ve used other Gorilla products like their glues but had never tried the tape as a replacement for the silver duct tape I usually use. The Gorilla tape is pretty standard width at 1.88 inches. This roll is black but I believe white is also available. This tape is also designed to be sable in all weather. I’ve had it out in sub-freezing weather and it retains pliability and still holds well to cold, metal surfaces. It doesn’t stick to wet surfaces but it is waterproof and won’t come off when water hits it. This makes it terrific for fixing tarps and other surfaces exposed to weather. I assume it holds equally well in hot weather but I haven’t been able to try that. I find standard duct tape to be very “tacky” when used in warm weather to a point of leaving a residue when removed. The glue on this tape feels very different and I don’t think that will be an issue. The glue also seems to be considerably stronger. Getting it off the roll is more difficult than I’m normally used to but there is no glue residue on the back of the Gorilla Tape still left on the roll. This Gorilla Tape All Weather Tape is a little more flexible and I thought it would tear as easily as other duct tape but I find I need to at least put a small nick with my teeth or a knife to get it started. I just don’t see this Gorilla All Weather Tape breaking unexpectedly. I’ll have to wait and see how this tape holds over a longer period of time and whether it leaves a residue when removed after a long time. The way the glue feels it seems like it’ll hold for quite a while and I’ve seen no sign of glue residue. This Gorilla All Weather Tape seems like a very good product. It’s very strong and doesn’t seem affected by cold weather. The glue is strong, feels different from other duct-type tape I’ve used and I don’t expect any glue residue when removing. A fix of a tarp has held through some rain already so I trust the waterproof quality. I think it’s time to permanently switch my duct tape product! This tape sticks very well and has enough body that it does not try to roll up on itself when being applied. I used it to help secure the connections of some outdoor Christmas lights to a multi-outlet extension cord. The all weather feature will be nice because I want to help shield the connection from moisture (it is unreasonable to expect the connection to be waterproof) and for the tape to stay in place when it gets well below freezing. The tape went on easily and had no problem sticking to the extension cord. The product's labeling cautions to not use the tape and expect to be able to remove it. Having used the tape to mark tent poles I have had it work both to stay well and also to, with some careful effort, remove it without damaging the substrate to which I bonded the tape.

I love Gorilla products and when I saw this tape I knew it would be very useful for many things. I have used it for a few different things and with several different days and types of rain, so far so good. Everything stayed dry. I'm so happy that it is also sun proof! Adhesion is good; it's strong and it is easy to work with. It does everything it says it does and I have no doubt that it will deliver as promised. This is a very good value for another great Gorilla product.

My use for this is somewhat different from how the product is advertised. I have a backyard woodshop as I have no room in my garage. I need something to cover part of my worktable that is durable, protects my woodworking products and does not allow glue to permanently stick to it. There are silicone mats I can buy that are expensive to get enough of them to put together and make a large surface. This tape accomplishes the same purpose for a fraction of the cost. I tape the top of my table and make the tape as long and as wide as I need. The tape lasts for weeks on the top, even in the weather. The thick backing protects the wood from being scratched as I work on furniture making. And the glue does not permanently stick to the tape. The glue can easily be picked off with my fingers and I once again have a smooth surface to work on without having to put down all new tape. I even left it out on some old wood in a rainstorm and the tape still stuck to the wood and the glue came right off. For me, this works great and a roll should last me a couple of years for tor this purpose.

This Gorilla 1.88” tape has to be the strongest tape ever made. I just got this roll and immediately had to put it to the test. I used to hold together my grass catcher on my riding mower that shattered recently in the cold weather. I used this tape to put it back together again to get a few more uses out of it. It did the job with ease! It’s is super adhesive and easily stuck to the plastic, It’s very flexible to make any angle or bend you need. it held up to some jagged edges and lots of abuse while I opened and closed the lid. It did not fail like similar brand tapes do. I highly recommend this tape.

Do a lot of camping with the Boy Scouts so a tape that is all weather and all material is essential. Use this tape to stop rips before they become big issues with the nylon based tents and tarps. Have taken the tape which is easy to unroll (as compared to duct tape) on trips and can with a knife cut exactly the length we need. I also reinforce the tarp corners by adding tape 3' on each side and then put a smaller grommet through the original hole. Have also tried successfully to repair pinhole leaks in water pipes by releasing the pressure on the line, cleaning the crud off with sand paper, adding the tape for three wraps around, and then usin a screw clamp on top.

I am a fan of Gorilla products, and this black all-weather tape is no exception. This is a high-quality tape that is durable and strong, and I think the black color looks great. The tape should withstand a lot of wear and tear, and because it is all-weather, it can be used for indoor or outdoor projects. The tape tears easily when you want it to, and holds tightly to a variety of surfaces. And there is plenty of tape to go around...25 yards should last a long time.

We used to just by the "off-brand" tapes and glues, but ever since we became familiar with Gorilla brand products, we go straight to their tapes, glues and more! They sometimes cost a little more, but they are worth every penny! The gorilla black tape is amazing stuff. We actually used it to tape together two banner sections to cover plywood and create a large business sign. That tape has withstood northern Montana weather for 2 winters and is STILL going strong! Unbelievable! From 30 below to 100+ temperatures and it hasn't budged a bit, even in the crazy winds off the Rockies!
