Really like the Gorilla Ladders 2-Step Compact Steel Step Stool, 225 Ibs. Load Capacity Type II Duty Rating (8ft. Reach Height) because it holds the weight. It is made of steel which feels very sturdy.

Well made, very lightweight ladder. While I also have the 19 foot Gorilla ladder for extreme heights, we bought this 2-step one so my wife could reach the top shelves of our kitchen cabinets. It is short enough that it fits easily under our kitchen island (see photo).

After over 20 years our last step ladder finally broke, we will miss it but this ladder is what we picked to replace it. We like how it folds almost flat for storage, but easy to open and close. Step feel steady under our feet and the upper bar gives you a sense of steadiness. We have already used it several time and I am close to it’s maxim weight limit. No problems here!

This has been an excellent addition to the household. I've used it various times in/around the kitchen (where it's kept) as well as other areas that require a small footprint height increase. I always feel very stable on it, and have enough room to stand securely. For me, it colapses very slim and fits between our fridge and cabinet right under a small counter overhang. I couldn't be happier with this product and the price paid for it.

I initially got this ladder so my granddaughter could cook with me. It was helpful for a 3 year old to feel secure standing on it to reach the counter top and roll out cookies, because of the bar over the last step for support. Then we had a company do a renovation of our kitchen and it really came in handy. The workers used it and I used it. I feel safe on it with that bar (age 67). It collapses easily by pressing the button on the top step. I like the rubber tipped legs protecting my floors. My husband could not figure out how to close it but then got the hang of it. I have had it 6 months. I would get it again.
