What is the width of the ladder when it is folded for storage? Does the top shelf make it wide? I want to store mine in a space between my refrigerator and the wall. If the accesory tray makes it too wide I have to look elsewhere. Thank you.

The ladder folds up to a width of just fractions less than 3-inches. As long as you have that much width it should fit your storage spot.

Can’t fold the tray back down only the rest of the ladder. What am I doing wrong?

There are 2 yellow tabs that you squeeze together. Then you can fold the tray down.
