AnswersWhat a silly question. The weight vs hold rate is 300 vs 17.5 ... so yes, it is light weight. Some people will complain about doing any work. If it's too much for you, then I suggest you write a check and let someone else do the work.

Nice sized ladder that allows reach to the top garage shelves and when not in use, it folds very flat. I like the appearance and it is very sturdy. My boys have even found a way to use it as an easel to put a whiteboard on it for diagramming their projects. I gave this to my boys as a Christmas present so we have only had it for a few weeks but we love it. I also have the one-size down version of this ladder in my garden shed and absolutely love it.

This ladder is strong and with the larger top steps it is safe and stable. Highly recommend. It is a little expensive but worth it. Also, it can hold a paint tray!
The paint pan hook slots DO NOT WORK

This has slots for the hooks on a paint pan. Just as you'd expect from most any decent stepladder. HOWEVER, the slots do NOT function! The built-in small tray just blocks them from allowing the paint pan hooks from inserting further than 1/4". Extremely poor design oversight! The well-trained engineers at Gorilla didn't even seem to consider this, and that's just plain unprofessional in my opinion. I went ahead and cut slots in the built in tray so I could actually USE THIS for painting with a pan of paint without it just falling down into the project bucket. Gorilla should seriously consider this design flaw in their next update of this ladder!! I am NOT pleased I had to cut my own slots in it!
Otherwise, the ladder is very sturdy and well built, not too heavy and the project bucket is nice.

I needed to install curtain rods on my patio. So, I searched and found the Gorilla 5.5 ft. Aluminum Dual Platform Heavy Duty Ladder and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It was just as described, heavy duty, good quality and security with the two platform steps. I was not only able to successfully install my curtain rods, but I also changed light bulbs and an air filter in my house. And the Project Bucket is definitely an added bonus. It saved me so much time from going up and down the ladder by conveniently having everything I needed at my fingertips (drill, hammer, screwdriver, and all the other essentials). Thanks Home Depot!!!

Very sturdy, adequate height to easily reach nine foot ceilings without standing on the top platform. Weight is a little heavier than a standard 6ft aluminum ladder, but the width of the treads make standing on the rungs more comfortable than a standard ladder.
