Will this spray latex primer
Hi Shawn, There are so many primers. It would depend on the primer. Check the can of primer under the "APPLICATION" section to see what "airless orifice tip size" it is recommending. The X5 has a maximum orifice tip size of a .015 so if that size tip is part of the range for that primer then yes it will spray it. Thank You Graco Technical Support.
How much paint can I spray with this model? We are building a new home and was thinking about buying one to do all are priming and ceiling painting
Hi Mike, The average pump life span for the Magnum X5 is 125 gallons before you will begin to see wear but it is rebuildable. Some see more and some do not it depends on the owner of the unit. Thank You Graco Technical Support.
Do you have to thin the paint?
Depends on the Paint Manufacturer's specifications for airless spraying. Reminder that for the Magnum X5 sprayer, the specifications for airless spraying are having a maximum working pressure of 3000psi and it holds up to a maximum tip orifice size of 0.015in. X5 paint kit vs X5 stain kit... What is the difference between the two?
Hello Barry The X5 that we sell to Home Depot is just the base unit and a 25' hose and gun. Home Depot themselves puts together those kits so this is a better question for them to answer for you. Thank You Graco Technical Support.
