Awesome but Tedious
I love the machine! It’s nice and compact and does an amazing job! I love that it’s doesn’t take up much storage space, unlike my bigger professional model. But like my professional model, I DREAD THE CLEANUP PROCESS when you are done. But you HAVE TO DO IT so the paint doesn’t dry up and clog your lines. It can also get a little heavy and tiresome depending on how much painting your project requires. Also, this thing drinks up paint like an old 75 Lincoln guzzles gas! A quart of paint gets you nowhere! I even adjusted the spray speed to low and it still drank like an alcoholic! Overall I’m happy with the machine and it does a great job. The price isn’t bad either. Oh….. the bracket that is supposed to make it stand up comes off a lot too. Get the job done in half the time it would take with a brush or roller, but I almost dread having to use it because of the clean up and amount of paint it uses. I know I sound a bit negative but I want to tell the truth about my experience. In the end, I actually DO recommend the product. Just prepare your patience. Lol

Excellent value and quality.
Extremely happy with my gracious sprayer. It works excellent. I was worried about the amount of wasted paint which can be a problem with larger spray units but there was zero waste with my handheld unit. The finish on my interior doors and molding is far superior then what can be achieved with a brush making the time spent on prep work absolutely worth it.

Easy to use. Even coverage
I am just a beginner and have never used a paint sprayer before. But it was so easy to do. I sprayed my kitchen cabinets, one pass with nice even coverage. Saved me soooo much time and they came out looking beautiful.

Wish I would have bought a variable or dual speed model now. Here's why-
I've owned various Wagner home paint guns, and have generally like them. But I wanted to paint my old truck after wire wheeling some surface rust off, but the old bomb has gotten rattle can "refresher" coats over the last 8 years (it had a couple coats of flat black on it when I bought it), holding off for a later date to do a ground-up restoration. I've used rattle cans of Rustoleum in the past, but decided to use a spray gun this time to speed it up and not leave the 'zebra lines' that rattle cans can leave, especially after it fades a few years. So I bought a new Wagner since I leave my old at our property an hour away. The new Wagner was powered by a blower instead of the old type of pump, and it just couldn't handle the rustoleum, even thinned down to practically stain level. So I bought one of these, and I was immediately more satisfied with the fine, even spray. When I shot the first coat, something was immediately clear to me, and that is that it was leaving gaps with the pulsating spray due to the motor. Sort of a picket fence. The owners manual even shows a trouble shoot (with illustrations!), and explains the way to get rid of this is to turn up the power. I looked, but couldn't find any. The VSP (variable speed) and DSP (dual speed) are adjustable, but this one is a one speed machine. Due to this, I am just hoping that the 24 hour dry time will even this out. I'm putting the second coat on today, hoping even more that this will eliminate any uneven areas. I'm giving this a 3 because it really is a great machine. But if you need to get an even coat the first time, get a VSP or DS model instead. And I realize there are going to be lots of comments such as "This isn't for painting vehicles!" or Why don't you get a real paint gun for that?". Well, I do have a real paint gun and good Speedaire compressor, but as I said, they're down at the farm, not here. And since I sanded it here, had perfect weather and the fall rains are coming, now was the time. And I have a new, decent paint gun for all my other not critical jobs, too!

    Hi Butch,
Thanks for providing your feedback on your initial use of the TrueCoat 360 handheld airless paint sprayer. Our variable speed handheld sprayers would provide the functionality best suited to the application you described. If maintained properly, we're confident your new sprayer will deliver great results on other smaller jobs around the house. Thanks for your purchase!

      Smooth finish results
I just bought this cause I have a few projects to spray. I do have a Wagner pro and it is terrible compared to graco. This sprayer is the best that I’ve ever used, I can’t say enough good about this gun. I now have the confidence that when I spray my doors they will turn out perfect.

        Great results!
I had a larger paint sprayer (not Graco) that was overkill for my needs, so I sold it to buy this unit. Out of the box I was having a few problems with the gun not spraying, but after re-reading the manual, which is very well written, I was on my way to spraying. This sprayer leaves a really nice finish and is easy to use once you read and understand the instructions. Cleanup was not hard, but did take some time, but not any longer than cleaning my brushes and rollers, and is much easier than cleaning my old larger sprayer. I am a happy customer! Great sprayer for first time users.

I don't know why some people are hating on this unit. I used Behr interior latex and did my whole house from top to bottom. We were having wood floors installed and decided to paint ahead of time. We tore up the old carpet and sprayed the walls in every room, 1500 Sq Ft house. After the walls were completely dry, I taped up plastic on all of them from ceiling to floor. Then I sprayed the textured ceilings in every room. The hardest part was the tape and plastic. After the plastic was placed on the walls, the textured ceilings were a breeze. A 12 x 12 ceiling took me about 20 minutes to spray and that was because I had to stop and fill the cup a couple of times. I never strained the paint or watered it down. The Home Depot Guys who came to do the floors asked what Pro Painter I used since the finish looked like a Pro did it. No brush marks or roller marks. It does have over spray so protect the areas you don't need painted. Floors are Pergo Outlast purchased from Home Depot and the best floors I ever had. Water proof and dogs don't leave scratches.
