The 50 watt Grape Solar panel is 2.75 amps per hour at 18 volts. If you have an 18 amp hour glass mat battery, it would take about 6-7 hours of full sun following the sun the whole time. If you have 2 - 12 hour batteries, it would take 8 - 9 hours following the sun full time. A 35 amp hour battery would take 14 -15 hours of full sun to fully charge with one 50 watt panel. if the panel is static and does not follow the sun you would get about 175 watt hours or about 10 amp hours of charge at 18 volts.

It's not the panel but the flow through the resisters that limits current. Using a Volt/OHM/Amp meter, just set up the meter for 10AMPS dc and connect the leads directly from the meter to the panel and make the panel as flat to the Sun as possible to get the most Photons. At 5000 feet and 40 degrees you should be getting closer to 2.9 amps at 12 noon because the 50 amp rating is at sea level at 70 degrees F is 2.77 amps and the output goes up as you have sulight go through less atmosphere and as the tempurature drops below 70 degrees making the resistance through the photo panels metal foil less. Charge controlers, Batteries and on grid inverters, even the copper wires all add resistance and reduce current flow and limit the REAL output of solar panels as they work. As a rule of thumb, because of current limiters in the converters, controlers, wires etc. you should oversize the rated solar panels by 30% for your rated loads. The sun is not always at 12 noon unless you have a tracking system and even then the thickness of the atmosphere as the sun gets closer to the horizon reduces your output. It took me 7,000 watts of panels to get 4800 watts of stored energy in my 7,000 amp hour battery system "each hour" and that is only good for 6 hours per day in my non-tracking system.

yes it is about twice the amperage of a normal trickle charger. the panel supplies 50/12 volts= ~4 amps on a sunny day. Now on a cloudy, which is most our days in Oregon you might get half that which woould be about right.

Look in the specifications section for that info. Maximum Power Point voltage =17.5V Open circuit voltage=22.0V Current at Maximum power point=2.86A Open circuit current=3.17A They are using the Maximum Power Point power and current. 17.5Vx2.86A=50.05W

Nice solar panels for a good price
I purchased 2 of these panels to make a solar suitcase. I got them on sale for $70 a piece which was the best price I could find. They are working well and I am charging 2 35AN AGMs with them. I plan on powering a 12V Truckfridge to have cold stuff when I travel. Here is a picture of my test setup.
