I purchased this Reel mower because I wanted to avoid needing electricity or gas to maintain my lawn (both are very expensive). However, it does not cut grass well. It will not cut weeds, thick patches of grass, or grass on uneven ground. You have to cover the same area at least 4 or 5 times to even notice a "slight" difference. That problem exists even with us making multiple adjustments to the blade height. Who has time for that mess? Your hands will hurt, so use some padding on the handles. You are manually cutting grass and it will feel like it. The blades lock up constantly, which will cause you to lose your mind. My neighbors watch me mow my lawn for entertainment as they can hear me saying, "this so totally sucks but it is my fault because I bought it." I gave this mower 2 stars in fairness. One star because it does not require gas, and the second star because it does not require electricity. However, it will require you to spend more effort to mow your lawn than you ever imagined. If you are looking for an exercise that will push you to exhaustion, have a need to develop patience, or handle constant frustration, then this is the mower for you. You will build character. Yet if you are looking to get the job done right and in the least amount of time, just buy a gas or electric powered mower. I now understand the reason gas and electric powered mowers were developed in the first place. Reel mowers are not for real people. As I think about it, if you have unruly children and are looking for new ways to punish them, making them cut the lawn with a reel mower will do the trick and they just may develop some needed character.

The mower cuts very well and it's very easy to push! However, it cuts very short and even after adjusting it to the highest setting, it still cuts shorter than I would like. I will probably purchase the larger set of wheels.
