Not good seed
I use the seed to reseed my back yard. I use same method and prepared like every year but this seed do not germinate, not all the seeds. Leaved empty spaces all over. Now I have to wait until spring to cover all those bald spots. Waste of water, time. Not happy.

This seed is very good, slow to germinate about 10 days before I started to see shoots but if you apply as directed, water it twice a day it will grow. As of today 10-07-20 I’m in week 3 and it is flourishing, this particular side of my yard has very sandy soil and finding the right seed was a bit difficult. I hand pulled most of the weeds, thatched it then added some top soil and a soil revive prior to spreading the seed. It is looking really good. I will be overseeding the rest of the yard with it as well.

Continued success!
I have been a devoted customer for quite a few years. My dad always told me"When something is not broke, you do not have to fix it". This has been my experience with Greenview for all these years. The products I have used and a little TLC is all it has taken to get my lawn to look this good.

This fescue mixture is just an average fescue; not as good as other turf-type fescues I have used in the past. It's germination rate is average and blade width is average. It is, in my opinion, no better or worse than the seed one would normally find in big box stores. It is not as good as the turf-type fescues one can buy in lawn and garden shops. I could not include a before picture as it was too large and HD won't accept a picture over 5 MB.

We are so excited to see this sprout and fill in our lawn! We are in Phoenix, AZ, where our Bermuda goes dormant in the winter, so we expect this will look beautiful and lush as soon as it cools down around here. Quick germination (7-10 days) is nice for the water bill, too, as I won’t need to keep it moist for 2+ weeks. Once established, it is drought resistant and can take the heavy traffic from my four kids. This should be a winner! I liked getting a huge bag of seed. No coatings, no filler, just 100% grass seed. Period. I will cover with GreenView’s Seeding Success for water retention and fertilizing made for this application, and in a week I’ll have beautiful new Fescue growing so the playing doesn’t need to ever stop!!!

This bag of Greenview Fairway Formula Grass Seed has proven to be one of the better mixtures I have purchased in recent years. I have several areas in my yard where the grass does not always grow so well due to excessive moisture  from rain. Sitting at the bottom of a hill it can often take days for the yard to dry out, and this seed has grown when others did not. The color is vibrant and the grass seems to thicken up quickly. Would definitely recommend both the sun and shade mixtures.

I have used Greenview products before and have had very good results with them. I thought I would give the grass seed a try and so far I have not been disappointed. I aerated my yard a week and a day ago and after completing that process, I put down the Fairway formula grass seed. I watered for about 40 to 45 minutes the first day and after that we have had about 3" of rain over a couple days with sun and some warmth during the day and the nights have been dark and cool. Several more days of light rain have added to the moisture content of the ground. Well the picture that I have enclosed was as of the 8th day from seeding. As you can see, its up about 1 to 2 inches already. It is coming in in clumps due to the rain moving the seed around and into the aerator holes. It is coming in a nice green and I will re-seed once more before we get to the ugly cold weather. Come Spring I should have one of those "Million Dollar" lookin yards.

This is the perfect time of year for reseeding your lawn. Weeds and unwanted grasses like Bermuda and Crabgrass die off during the cool nights, but tall fescues can grow with the warm days. The best way to get rid of weeds is to keep them from growing in the first place. A tall beautiful fescue will help keep the sun from getting to the lowly weeds below! Very clean mixture, no sign of debris in the bag, nothing but quality seed!

I’ve been using Greenview grass seed for several years and always get great results with relatively minimal work. This particular blend is a good mix that is both heat and drought tolerable, good for sun or shade. Doesn’t mean you don’t have to water it,but you can water on average less and it doesn’t seem to be prone to those brown patches that can happen in any yard. I personally am not after a perfect Stepford Wives looking lawn and prefer a mix of native grasses, clovers and what others call weeds and I overseed with the Greenview grass seed to fill in any thinner areas. This seed is just that pure grass seed with no coatings and by just doing some common sense gardening, the grass will grow,at least it does for me and I don’t do anything special except follow directions. Soil composition, fertilizer, water and weather will ultimately affect the lawn, but doing the basics is easy and does produce results imho.

I have a two part review here using both the GreenView Seed Blend and Mulch with Fertilizer to cover it. Now here in the Northwest it's getting late in the season a good time in ways to get seed started with little watering time, but on the same note it may take a few extra days to germinate. Now first we did all the normal ground perp, put down a bit of seed (raked in) and used the Mulch with Fertilizer with a bit of seed added to it to cover it. Just my thing to mix seed and mulch. these are just a few small patches in both shady and full sun spots - Time will tell now. Now the seed it's self is clean no odd or ends you sometimes find in mixes of seed blend. I know the blend of fescue seed has good properties for dense grown, resist drought, etc., and stands up to heat and heavy traffic well. And here: GreenView yard wide guarantee: your satisfaction or your money back.
