Pop quiz! What is the cubic capacity of your garden bed? Hint: Length times width times height (all in feet) = cubic volume Your bag of soil may show volume in quarts, square feet/inches/yards. Lots of free utilities to convert from one measurement to another:

I really want a raised garden, love the look of this, but question is, can I sit on a stool and reach this ok? I can not get down on knees, or stand and bend for very long at a time. Just wondering how a stool or step would be on reaching it.
Asked by: Sandi
I have several of these beds in my garden. You should be able to reach the entire bed as long as you can access all sides of the beds with enough space for your stool.

Purchased several different shape/sized Greene's beds for a small urban garden. Arrived in good condition, all parts accounted for in each box. Easy enough to install, little more challenging to level though. Definitely recommend tilling area beneath where beds are to be placed so it is easier to level. Took myself, my mom and stepdad about 3.5 hours and TADAAA... insta-garden!!! My garden has only been down for 5 weeks so I cannot attest to the longevity of the products but so far so good. Holds the weight of the soil well, does not seem to escape between boards and the beds do not appear to be coming apart anywhere. Multi-level design makes for easy reach of plants from any angle. Caps for corner pieces are a great touch! Very aesthetically pleasing. I'm adding a fence to discourage any four legged foragers from stopping for a snack and hope to enjoy these beds for many years to come. Great addition to our backyard!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple to Use the kit arrived undamaged (shipped to store) and went together easily. making sure the ground is leveled is VERY important. i used it to replace the lumber of an existing raised garden, so leveling was the only issue. great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for beginner gardeners with limited space. This is the third of these I have purchased. I've got pretty much a maze of raised beds in my back yard. While the other 2 I purchased in store, this was the first I had shipped. UPS did a horrible job at handling this and it was somewhat damaged. I didn't make a fuss about it as it just took a little elbow grease for the pieces to slide together. I will definitely be buying more of these, just not having them shipped to my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased I'm a 55 year old woman with limited carpentry skills and few tools. I only needed a screwdriver, a torpedo level, and a rubber mallet to complete this project. It took me 20 minutes to build it and another 15 minutes to level it. I used 22 large bags of Miracle Garden Soil to fill it. (Paid my 21 year old to haul them.) My veggies are off to a great start! Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in quality I purchased four of the 12' units this year and two 8' units last year. The quality of the product has went way down since last year. The corner blocks have been reduced in size so if you are not careful, you will break then trying to slide the side boards into the dovetail joint. I had four corner blocks break. I glued them back together with waterproof glue and deck screws. The moisture content must have been close to 50%. I had three or more boards in each unit warped so bad, I could not use them for their intended purpose. I did cut the warped boards up and cleated the sides due to the extreme warping of the boards. Luckily they sent extras so I could still put them together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for first time gardner Easy to put together! Had some extra stain from the deck, so used it on the beds! Turned out great! Has been about 3 months and has held up very well through the storms and sun! No maintenance so far.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not quite as pictured Frankly, I'm disapointed with this item. It arrived in a box looking like it spent an afternoon in a rock tumbler and upon removing all the tape applied by the shipper, opening and removing all the pieces, I found no assembly instructions. It's not like building this bed cannot be considered intuitive, however one or two slight headaches could have been avoided. I also found the quality to be less than what one should expect for the money, but that's what we've all been getting for quite awhile now-ever increasing prices for ever decreasing quality products all across the board! If I had to do over I would just buy the lumber and build myself. I opted for a "kit" only because I had a stroke and am not quite as functional as I once was. Again, if you have not suffered from this, or some other malady, make your own! Don't bother buying this.
