How can I get replacement carbon brushes for this saw. I received it for Xmas took it out this summer and it ran about 30 minutes before the brushes just smoked. One wore down completely and disintegrated. I can't seem to find the correct size brushes for it. Please help. I've had it 6 months and used it 30 minutes.

I had the same problem, Greenworks sent replacement brushes; however they did not fit. The motors have been redesigned with a 'cheaper' brush holder. The on-line parts diagram is for the older model. Greenworks does not stock replacement brushes for the new redesigned chainsaw motors. The older design had easily replaced motor brushes with plug-in connectors. The new brushes have a woven wire lead embedded in the brush that has to be soldered to the motor wiring, a much harder repair, but a cheaper design. I suspect the motor brush fractured or crystallized after manufacture, leading to an early failure. I don't think it was wear as the other brush looks like new.

How many drive links are on the chain? Does it use the S62 chain?

I was just wondering if it used the commonly available 62 drive link chain from Oregon, or the harder to find 63 drive link chain, like the Worx saw uses. It doesn't say in the specs here, nor in the User Manual, that I could find. Thanks in advance!
Asked by: MayDeathNeverStopYou
I have used the Oregon S62 and works well.
