Questions & Answers

How do I get extra battery and whats model #. Thank you.

Asked by Tony May 5, 2021

Do I have to grab and hold BOTH start handles to use this mower? Does it stop if I let go of one ...

Asked by deeddawg April 26, 2021

No. After I push the start button, I pull up the right handle and left side moves up with it. Watch your fingers.

Two battery spots

Asked by Arnica April 17, 2021

Yes, but it comes with one battery and a charger.

Is the 60w 2.0 AH battery the same size as the 60w, 5.0 AH battery. Will they fit the same charger?

Asked by Dennis April 14, 2021

Yes they will fit. I have the old 2.0 battery from a weed whacker/blower combo. I ordered this exact model from homedepot and the 2.0 battery runs the mower fine. (obviously for lest time but it doesn't fit)

Does it come with the bag? Some pictures have it some don’t. No

Asked by Doug April 14, 2021

Is this mower self-propelled?

Sturdy mower.
Lots of power, does a great cut. I get about an hour of run time. My lawn was pretty thick with a mixture of grasses, it's a new build. I had the battery already from my blower which also works amazingly. I plan on buying weed trimmer next. The mower is light to push as well!

Who knew???
I honestly dont know how anyone could complain about this equipment.. I'm able to mow the front yard pictured, edge it and blow clipping on one 5 amp battery.. and even mow the backyard. No exaggeration because it was accomplished multiple times. I even accidentally put my 2 amp battery in mower and completed the front yard... but then of course realized when it stopped I had wrong battery.. But I was very impressed by the mistake. Overall great purchase! Now I own the mower, edger, trimmer and blower for less than the competitors price, but with same results! Note - cut grass when dry.

Awesome mower cuts thru 3 foot high weeds
I have had this mower for over a year. I love it. I am a 63yr old female and I use it to cut all my lawns on my one acre property in North Carolina. There are hilly and bumpy areas. I have mowed large woody weeds up to 3 feet high. I have two batteries to finish the job. The self propelled feature is great. 10 stars.

Best mower I've ever owned!
This was my first Greenworks purchase and first electric yard tool ever. I really liked the power of my old gas tools so I was a bit hesitant. After the first cut, I didn't notice any difference in power though. The mower is much quieter and lighter than I was expecting also. It get's the job done well, and there is just enough juice in the battery to finish my entire front and backyard. I love this mower, and feel like it's the best all around mower I've ever owned. I'll never go back to gas! I liked the mower so much I decided to go all in and get more tools from the same line. I now own a mower, blower, trimmer, and pressure washer. Since they're all the same voltage (60) I can swap batteries between the tools as needed, making things super convenient.

A mower that’s up for the job!
After $400+ in repairs on my $400 self-propelled Toro that I bought new in 2015, I decided it was time to rethink the way I mowed. The most recent $120 repair, plus mower rental to complete the yard was barely a month early. There I was, Labor Day weekend, the Toro was dead again. Yes, I was overdue for a mow, but I spent the next week researching cordless mowers. We had two rains on top of my already out of control lawn when I finally decided we had a winner: Greenworks! The lawn was thick, a little damp in places, but I went for it. I was so impressed I could hardly stand it! The mower handled it! The battery did stop when I was well over half way through. I put it on the charger and finished some other chores. I put the battery back in w/ only 2 of 4 bars charged and completed the yard (w/ 1 bar to spare). I was seriously concerned the municipality was going to ticket me because the yard was too tall when I started. I am 100% delighted w/ the way “Grendel” performs (I’ve named the mower after the creature feared by all but Beowulf). Greenworks rocks!

Great replacement for a gas mower
I needed to replace a conventional self propelled mower and didn't want to buy another gas powered lawn tool. I bought this in June and have been using it every week all summer. I have a lawn that's mostly hills, so I needed the self propelled version. It works so well that I can push it most of the time. I only use the self propelled feature part of the time. I get through my average sized suburban lawn on one battery and still have juice left! I love how it folds up in my shed giving me extra room too. My first Greenworks tool was the 60v blower. I liked that so much that I bought the trimmer next. Now since I'm so happy with the mower, I've got the chainsaw and dethatcher on my wish list! Just a great tool family!

Great for a larger yard
Been using for over a month and the dual port 60v 5ah batteries keep this mower plowing through thick KBG grass without hesitation and can mow the 15,000 square foot lawn with plenty of charge left in the second battery. Very happy with this purchase.

Easy to assemble, use AND works great!
My wife and I purchased the greenworks, 60V self-propelled, 21" lawn mower a few months ago to replace an aging gas mower. WOW! What a joy and delight to use this mower! What assembly was required was VERY minimal, easy and fast to accomplished. This lawn mower is a joy to use because you don't have to check the oil level or fill it up with gas just make sure the battery is charged up and installed and you are ready to go! Plus you don't have to be concerned with the spark plug being in good shape or an air cleaner being cleaned or replaced. It is a delight to use because it is VERY easy to start! Just hold down the lever that turns on the power to the lawn mower and then push the start switch button and then start pushing! On the gas mower we HAD, I would have to prime the mower with gas and then it took anywhere from 3 to 5 pulls of the cord to get the mower started. The mower is VERY quite. I was talking with one of my neighbors and they mentioned they want to get an electric lawn mower now because our mower was so quiet! One other thing I noticed was it cuts the grass so evenly! I can't remember ever in my life time (50+ years) of seeing grass that looks so evenly cut! Could be the blades I used over the years where not sharp as they could have been. We don't have that big of a yard ( <.25 acres) but to get the lawn mower out of storage, put the battery in it, attached the grass catcher, start the lawn mower, cut the grass, remove the grass catcher, empty the grass catcher, remove the battery, put the battery in the charger, and stow the lawn mower away until the next time take me about 15-20 minutes! There are four other really nice features the lawn mower has that I have not mention here but you can go online to discovers those. I highly recommend this lawn mower to anyone who does not have a big yard to mow(> half an acre), does not want to spend a lot of time and effort to get the mower started, or worry about having enough gas or oil on hand for the mower.

I love this mower!!!
I love this mower. It is quiet and doesn't use gas! The self-propelled works great and I can maneuver this mower easily because it weighs 71 pounds. I use the mulching feature and have the deck height set high because I don't want to bag or water my lawn... and my lawn looks great after mowing with the 21". Love it!!!
5 out of 5 stars!
Absolutely an excellent purchase. I have just under a 1/2 acre, grass was high and wet but it was not an issue for my first cut. I was able to cut the whole lawn utilizing only one battery. My second cut was under dry conditions and when completed I had plenty of battery remaining to use in blower.
