That is a Home Depot mistake. Wish I hadn't found them. I returned them.

          is this good for baseboards?

          Answer This Question

Supposedly. However after you hammer them in there is no dimple for the nail set to sit in and you will end up with multiple holes in your base board as it slips off when you attempt to countersink the nail.

Generally brad nails are better for baseboards and finish nails are better for finish or detail carpentry.

Only if you're willing to hammer hard, since they don't have a dimple to set the nail without just smashing it flush. Personally I find it's fine. But if you can get an air nailer/brad nailer, it's worlds better.

              By|Sep 1, 2019

They are the right size, but don't buy these. They are extremely greasy and do not have a dimple for a nail set.

                By|May 6, 2023

These aren't any good for any work where you want to countersink them. There are no dimples to hold the countersink from sliding off the nail and damaging the wood.

No bending and they do have a set dimple
I’m not sure what nail the other reviewers are referring to, but at my local Home Depot the product is fine. If HD is shipping something different to home then that’s a problem. The nails i picked up have a nail set dimple and are not “wire” as one reviewer claims. They are covered with some kind of machining oil and dust that will dirty your hand, but it wiped off of my trim with a damp cloth.
