These will work if the combination of wood veneer, drywall, and framing behind that you penetrate with the screw is enough to support the weight of the shelves and what you place on them.
YES--they work fine on wood projects have used them on several projects and am very satisfied with them.
Screws should penetrate no less than 5/8" into the framing, so these are good for 1/2" or 5/8" sheetrock (accoording to code). I would go longer for 5/8" rock if used on the ceiling.
Worked great!
Specs say 1255
Box says 238. If you want, see my review and photos. :-)
You can if you are not trying to support a lot of weight and you are screwing into a stud. If you are just using it in drywall, you need anchors.
quarter inch
I ordered mine few months ago but just picked it and it served the purpose.
Not sure if volume has anything to do with it, but the quality isn't lacking at all. I've been buying these for quite some time in all varieties of sizes, and have always been happy with them.
