Q:I bought these to attach the baseboard trim to the bottom of the kitchen wall. Is there a way to install these so they won't hit pipes? Would it be better to just tape the trim to the wall?

Answer This Question
A:Â The screw will fasten the floor to the joist well, but we cannot guarantee that it will fix your squeaky floor problems as it typically is caused by larger issues.

A:Â Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. This is a T-17. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

A:Â You know if you read the product review it will tell you most things about a product. In this case hitting page down twice will bring you to product overview where it states its a t-17.

A:Â I think all the people giving the T-17 answers are a bit confused. T-17 is the size of the self drilling end of the screw. It's the size of a #17 drill bit. I'm not sure where the T comes from. The Torx drive bit for this screw is T-25.

absolutely worthless
I bought two boxes of these for a home project. extremely hard to get them started in the wood, no matter how much weight you put behind it. I ended , must be made of that imported steel. :-( ended up throwing 1.8 boxes away and going somewhere else for screws that worked!

Pretty standard construction screw, good value bought in bulk though, and the buckets they come are durable and useful for other things once you use up the screws.
