Questions & Answers

can these go into concrete?

Answer This Question

If you're asking about the screws themselves, they are not concrete screws, but you could easily go ahead and pick up some tapcon concrete screws and then you'd be good to go. The only thing is that if you use Tapcons, you won't have one-way screws like provided.

By|Apr 22, 2020

Yes, you will need to use screws that a designed to work in concrete. My installation was in cinder block using Tapcon anchors which are also designed to work in concrete. The Tapcon anchors are like screws or bolts, select the size and type for your application. You will need to use a masonry bit and hammer drill. Tapcon also makes masonry bits, just select the bit that matches the hole size that you need to drill. It's actually a very simple job. Good luck!

Some Tapco screws in the brackets should be fine.

      By|Apr 21, 2020

Yes, they can. But you can't just drive them in. You need to use a carbide drill to drill a hole in the concrete (and probably a hammer drill), and then stick something in there. It could be a dowel or some sort of plastic or soft metal anchor. Then you can drive in the screws. I'd wax them first to lubricate them and make them less apt to break.

        By|Apr 21, 2020

Yes. As long as you use the appropriate anchors, these can be mounted into concrete.

Jon, Yes, with the screws supplied directly into the concrete or in conjunction with concrete anchors. (not supplied) Thank You, Grisham Bros

It was 30 inches wide, I cut off one inch on both sides to fit my door, so that it was 28 inches for me.

              About 3".

one way screw come with pkg ,you will need a special one way bit for you drill

              By|Nov 7, 2018

Sorry, I dont know the #, but BIG. You need a bit wide enough to expand the gap between the two sides of the screw head. Security screws have a funny shape. I got away with a "medium" sized screwdriver head.

It's a one way flathead screw.
