I would suggest you layout the wire to be placed on the bottom of the bed and prevent any nailing or stapling to the product which could cause the wood to split.

Yes...I needed to replace one last year and I called the manufacturer, Gronomics, and they sent a replacement piece at no charge within a couple days.
Hi HappyGrammie. There is a very easy to follow instruction manual from Gronomics on page 2 of the link below: https://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/38/38da1b45-2094-4eee-988a-801a99e861ad.pdf You can also contact Gronomics Customer Service either via email at email@example.com or phone at 763-753-7374 for more detailed information. This unit is designed to be stackable and additional accessories are available depending on your design. The support posts sit out above the sideboards allowing you to add another layer of sideboards. The seconded layer of boards would slide into the support posts, effectively locking one layer to the other. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance/ Rick_HD_OC
Buy a garden line and put on the bottom and a few inches up the sides. This will keep weeds out. No need to seal the wood.
Needs about 14 cubic feet of soil. Best to check with local nursery for components - I was able to buy bagged soil/fertilizer/ etc. that was pre mixed for raised beds - saved much trouble on my part.
Approximately 3/4 of an inch thick.
