Hi HappyGrammie. There is a very easy to follow instruction manual from Gronomics on page 2 of the link below: https://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/38/38da1b45-2094-4eee-988a-801a99e861ad.pdf You can also contact Gronomics Customer Service either via email at info@gronomics.com or phone at 763-753-7374 for more detailed information. This unit is designed to be stackable and additional accessories are available depending on your design. The support posts sit out above the sideboards allowing you to add another layer of sideboards. The seconded layer of boards would slide into the support posts, effectively locking one layer to the other. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance/ Rick_HD_OC

Do I need to seal the inside?

Asked by EEagle December 5, 2017

Answers

Buy a garden line and put on the bottom and a few inches up the sides. This will keep weeds out. No need to seal the wood.

What do I need to use for soil ingredients? Such as drainage, fertilizer, etc?

Asked by EEagle December 5, 2017

Answers

Needs about 14 cubic feet of soil. Best to check with local nursery for components - I was able to buy bagged soil/fertilizer/ etc. that was pre mixed for raised beds - saved much trouble on my part.

Attractive, easy-to-assemble bed kit
I purchased three of the 4' by 4' bed kits. The materials seem to be of good quality and the beds were very easy to assemble. Just one of 24 boards in the three kits had some warping, but I was able to manage that myself without returning it. I wonder about how the 1" boards will hold shape and wear over time (same for the dovetail joints), but for now I very much like how they look. Caps for the corner posts would be a good option, at least. These require your leveling and squaring before filling with soil.

Easy to build. One plank had a knothole in it, but that's actually useful because I can run a drip irrigation hose through it.
