Q:Can these be installed with the gutters on the ground? I'm getting new siding and the contractors are removing the gutters to do so. Can I install these guards while the gutters are sitting on the ground & then just have the contractors put them back?

Glad I installed these
An easy way to clean my gutters is with a leave blower from the rooftop...unless they're remotely damp, then it's dangerous. My gutters fill up quickly and overflow or clog the downspouts. I've tried various methods to keep them clear. These Gutter Guards keep out needles, roof grit, and leaves. The only thing they requires it brushing off where debris collects too quickly, like the valleys. They're worthless with snow, but it doesn't snow here often. This is still the best alternative.

Not for Colder 🥶 Climates!!
Maybe they work in fall, but they are terrible in our winter climate. As soon as the micro-mesh has a layer of ice, it builds more and more ice and water starts dripping outside the gutters, creating icicles and then ice on our driveway and walkways. I would go so far as to say the manufacturer needs to have a disclaimer on the product description and packaging that says 'only for use in climates without regular snowfall or where temperatures do not regularly drop below 32° F'🤦

Looked no further.
I looked a long time for a product that would keep leaves and debris out of my gutters. I hated cleaning them every year, especially because I had to wait for the leaves to finish falling. That time was getting later and later in the season every year, making a terrible chore even colder and wetter. I found the Gutter Guard product when browsing Home Depots' website, and read a lot of reviews that seemed to think they were the answer. Went to the store and looked at them and agreed. Great quality and workmanship, and a really huge saving over the other products constantly being peddled to me on the internet and TV. I bought the 4-foot long 20 piece box and the 3-foot 13 piece box. More than the 115 feet I needed, but still quite a value at about 270 dollars with tax for my entire house. It was harder to clean the gutters preparing for the install than actually installing them! Use a hacksaw with a fine blade to cut them. Even good snips result in a bad looking cut (metal gets bent and distorted) If you have a vice to clamp them in for cutting it will make it much easier. The most difficult part is cutting the end piece to full in the triangle that is created when you put them under the shingles and down to the gutter lip. Take you time and its all good. A good battery powered driver will help you place the screws. Took me 6 hours to install 115 feet, including preparation by washing the gutters and downspouts clean of leaves and debris. Well worth the money. We'll see how they fare in the winter, but I am reasonably sure my gutter cleaning days are over.

Very easy to install in my two applications. Used the supplied screws in one and the pre-applied double stick tape on the other. Neither required bending. Only some expected cutting using a pair of sheetmetal shears.

does the job
I ordered 80 ft. of screens for the back of the house's gutters because of my neighbors trees. I will be buying more for the front. they seem very nice and seem to be a great quality.

Not for pine needles
Pine needles get stuck in the mesh and then act as an anchor for many needles to collect and rot the fascia. Easier to clean gutter than pick needles out of mesh.

Easy to install
First time using this product. Installed over 120'. Impressed by the quality of the gutter guards. You will need a sharp pair of cutters to cut through the frame. Instructions & screws included with the purchase. Instructions are well detailed and there is also online support. I did not use that. Excellent Quality Product!

Go with a advertised company/service if you want but these Gutter Guard here? Thousands less...
I could not believe how easy this is to install and how much money I saved compared to what a professional gutter guard company wanted to charge for almost the identical item. If your a handy person with tools these are a game changer. 1 box of 20 did my entire backyard and had left over to start the side and front of my house. I am also glad Home Depot has them in stock so I could buy a smaller box and finish the rest.
