Fantastic recessed LED lights
When remodeling my home and adding an addition I opted to go with recessed lighting in the ceilings. I wanted LED lights that I could control via WiFi and from Alexa and Google Home, but also be able to change the color temperature when I wanted to (never know when you want to change the color on the walls!). These lights were exactly what I needed. I first did my back patio, paired together with the Halo bluetooth wall light switch (HIWAC1BLE40AWH) that controls them. Setting them up in the Halo app on my iPhone was super easy and you can easily group the lights together to the switch. To control them over WiFi you need the small Halo bluetooth-to-wifi internet bridge that plugs into an outlet. With this setup the wall switch turns all of the lights on and off (and has a dimmer), then with the app or Alexa/Google I can turn individual lights on or off and control brightness of any or all of the lights. From the app I can also control the color temperature from 2700k to 5000k, and even make each of them different colors (not that I would, but I could!). After this I installed the same lights with Halo light switches in my living room, family room, office, and three bedrooms. I’ll also be installing them in two additional bedrooms once I get the retrofit cans installed in them. And speaking of cans, three of the rooms and the patio used Halo new construction cans, while the rest of the house were Halo retrofit versions (like the H27RICAT). Everything fit perfectly with no issues. In each of these rooms it’s great to be able to say “Alexa, living room lights 50 percent” or “Hey Google, turn on family room light #4”. You can name them anything you want, like my son who wanted his room to be “bodayshus”. I’ve had them installed now for over a year and they have been working great. The only problem I had was a couple of times the switch acted like it lost connection with the lights in one of the room, but cycling the breaker fixed this. Also one time the Halo server was down so the connection between the internet bridge and Halo caused Alexa and Google Home to not work in controlling them, but that problem went away once the server was back up. Overall I am extremely happy with these lights, the app, and the full control we have over the lights! Would highly recommend them together with the wall switch and bridge.

First step is to buy the HALO devices/lights and install them in your home. Next get the dimmer switch and mount practically any place in your home. The package comes with 3M tape to mount securely on your wall. Super easy install. Once the lights are installed and the switch is in place, download the App for your SmartPhone and set everything up. Once the app has detected your lights, you can easily add the switch to control the lights. You do need lights before the App will connect to the switch, just an FYI.

This white bluetooth dimmer switch is really cool. It's stylish and sleek looking. The switch operates and installs easily. It even comes with the 3 batteries. (see photograph uploaded) The unit can be held directly in your hand, it does not need to be installed on a wall. The Halo system is required though, so you can't just get it on it's own. It doesn't require internet either.

This Bluetooth Dimmer works with the Halo Home product line. It is the thickness of a smart phone and the size of a wall plate (it comes with tape and/or screws to wall mount, if desired). It is powered by three CR2032 coin batteries (also included). You can pair it with one device or a group/entire room. It uses 2.4Ghz 4.0 Bluetooth, with a range up to 100', to the closest device. It has to be paired with the free Halo Home app, but no WiFi service is required.
On the positive side ... it is light weight and very responsive. Touch the slider, and the light turns On, at the dimmer level corresponding to where you touched (i.e. touch at top, 100% ... touch in middle, 50% ... touch bottom, Off). The response is immediate; no delay typical of WiFi based lighting. Also, no need to carry a smart phone everywhere and log into app to get a light turned On, and guests do not need to download an app to use lights (also, the app tends to freeze). Works with their newest Bluetooth Mesh (i.e. communicate with each other, not just the base [longer range and better stability]) devices.
On the negative ... it was difficult to set up. The clips that hold the batteries have a Negative symbol on them (see pic). Typically that means negative side towards, but actually Positive is up (I see this being a problem when replacing the batteries). Also, the Wake button did not work. I had to call Customer Service to get it reset (to reset: 'quickly' tap the wake button 4 times). Also, not sure why it is 4.0 (2010), and not 5.0 (2016); which is in the newest smart phones?
Bottom line ... it is a great option for someone wanting to add a Dimmer Switch to a room/home without a router (e.g. an attic with only a pull chain light, an out-building, a vacation home). Much easier than running new wiring for a switch. Also, great for smart lighting in rooms where you do not want Alexa listening in.

My wife selected this product for me to test to see if we might be able to integrate it into the smart home automation we currently use in our home. When I initially looked at it, it appeared we would be able to use it to pretty good effectiveness in our basement where we have half pull chain lights and half wall light switch lights.
When I received the product, I looked at all the parts and they were pretty straight forward and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The only issue for us is that you have to purchase light fixtures specifically from this brand to use with this switch. And the light fixtures are quite costly which put my idea of smart basement lighting outside the range of our budget quite rapidly.
Now if I was upper middle class income, I might be able to justify the expenditure and then these lights and the single dimmer switch would make for a very elegant setup.

Nice can light replacement
everything worked well except the retaining springs - the compression is too light. These retrofit quickly otherwise. The smart app allows many features to customize

This was perfect and the Bluetooth app was amazingly easy to integrate with my iPhone. Lights color change options are smooth and dimming is perfect. We are not running the lights on a dimmer switch but using the app you can control the brightness and the color. I used to own a lighting company so I’m critical about lighting products… these are awesome.
Did you know the smart features of Philips Hue smart bulbs only work with a paddle switch if it is in the ON position? If a paddle switch is unknowingly bumped, accidentally turned off or Wi-Fi connection is lost, the Philips Hue smart bulb will no longer operate from its control source (wireless app, remote, or voice). Lutron's Aurora smart bulb dimmer switch Wallplate Bracket for Paddle Switches eliminates this issue. When used with the Aurora smart bulb dimmer, Philips Hue smart bulbs will stay in "ready mode" for consistent smart control. Setting up the Wallplate Bracket for Paddle Switches for use with Aurora is a quick, hassle-free process. Simply remove your existing paddle switch from the wall, cap the wires in the backbox, and screw the bracket into the backbox in place of the switch - no rewiring, repositioning, or extra trips to the store to get a new wallplate will be necessary. Aurora will connect directly to the Philips Hue smart bulbs - no wiring required.
