Beautiful Bar Table
Yes. Some of the manufacturer provided screws did break while installing but that’s really not a big deal in the big picture.
This is a beautiful beautiful clean looking piece of wood that fits beautifully into our kitchen as a bar table. Very strong. And the perfect dimensions for one. Was actually the only option we could find online or in any brick and Mordor store.
Had it for almost a week and so far love it!

Worked for me…
Take your time during the install. It is a heavy duty shelf, it needs to be secured properly; once complete, it is fantastic and worked perfectly for what I needed.

Super sturdy & easy fold away
Been waiting to install the folding workbench for more than a year. It is utilized outdoors. Up it provides a study level workbench aiding projects. Down it allows equipment (i.e. lawnmower) to pass by without obstruction.

A few days after opening the box and putting it on my desk one of them started to split. Looks like right where the wood was glued together.

Extra counter space when needed
This product meets our needs perfectly. We have a small kitchen with minimal counter space. This butcher block shelf is mounted on a hallway wall just outside the kitchen area. 5' would have been better than the 4' shelf available, but sometimes you have to compromise. It is gorgeous. It is solid and should last for decades. The mounting hardware is sturdy. With the shelf up it will easily handle the pressure of rolling dough. The only warning I have is to double check measurements from the instructions as they may not be accurate. Take measurements yourself based on the dimensions of the product shipped. I would also switch out the supplied Phillips head screws for Robertson. I haven't figured out why US companies haven't made the switch. Boggles the mind.

Just used the counter top for a desk screwed tro the top of two ( 3 drawer, 1 small and two large Drawers) filling cabnets and is perfect for working at home while teleworking. Didnt need the brackets, but for the price this block gave me what I needed for a makeshift desk.

I've been teleworking since March in the guest room and made this countertop into a wonderful standing desk. With the right height counter stool, I have the option to sit down, and can stash it out of the way when guests come. It is perfect. Hung a shelf above for my monitors at eye level. (Lesson learned if you try to replicate this, a touch more space between desk and shelf would be good and a narrower shelf for monitors to give laptops more room - one of mine needs a cooling pad.)

Great idea, so-so execution
I bought two of these counters to mount next to one another in my garage so I’d have a nice work bench. I got the 2 brackets from the first shelf mounted up and leveled, then went to install the next set. First thing I noticed was that the lag screws in box #2 were a different diameter and had a different head on them than the first set. I then noticed the box itself calls out 2 different pilot hole sizes depending on which hardware set you have, either a 1/8” hole or a 5/16”. Not thinking too much of it, I mounted the second set of brackets level with the first.
But, when I placed the tops on both sets of brackets, I found the one counter wasn’t level and sagged a good 1/4” in the front. After measuring out the brackets and checking the wall for being level (it was), I swapped the brackets side to side and verified the sag was from the brackets themselves. They came from the box that asked for the 5/16” pilot hole, so I returned the shelf and found another at the store that called for 1/8” holes, then I bought some larger lag screws since I’d already drilled 5/16” pilots for that side. That shelf was much better, with just a slight sag I was able to shim out easily enough.
Now that they’re up, I like them a lot and I’m glad I bought the shelves. But, pay attention to the drill size called out on the box, because there are 2 variants and that’s the only difference between the two boxes. It may just be coincidence, but due to my sagging issue I’d strongly recommend buying the shelves that call for 1/8” pilot holes.

Cheaply made hardware. I expected more from this
I bought this item at its clearance value, so mind you this fold up countertop normally costs way more than it’s worth at $130. The butcher block was the only well made item in the box. The brackets do not line up into the socket properly, so i have to align them myself each time I open it. The springs are weak and do not pull the bars up into the sockets either, also manually done. And I noticed a handful of others had issues with the cheaply made bolts too. One of mine broke into the wall and they all strip easily.
Do not get this at full price and make sure to get your own lag bolts and 1” screws.

Great Desk and Craft Station
Wonderful product and was relatively easy to install. Fits perfectly in my small house. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Only issue seems to be that it does not fold perfectly flush to wall... bottom is about 4" from wall when collapsed.
