A: Yuri - The chemicals can transfer to the food when you are cutting or prepping food on the countertop. We recommend using cutting boards. We do not recommend leaving food on the countertop for a long period of time because this is not going to prolong the life of your Butcher Block countertop. A: SteveM - Yes, these can be used as bathroom countertops. Just be sure you seal it on all sized prior to installation.
A: We are about 60 days out from re-stocking this item.
A: The UV finish is quite hard to remove. I would suggest you use one of the unfinished blocks to start with, so you'll only need to sand a bit and seal with food safe mineral oil. It would be much quicker than trying to remove this finish. Hope this helps!
