Sturdy - Works Well
The Harper 24 in. Indoor/Outdoor Dry All-Purpose Hardwood/Steel Handle Push Broom, Blue bristles is a good product. It comes in a short box and the handle is a 3-piece assembly with a steel center section and wood upper and lower sections. It is simple to put together. Just align the slots and tap it together. It is very sturdy with no sign of looseness. Then there are three bolts and two lag screws to tighten and you are ready to go. You will need 1/2" and 7/16" wrenches or sockets and it will take less than ten minutes to assemble. The broom's head has softer blue bristles on the outside and more coarse black bristles on the inside. I found that this design works really well on smooth hard surfaces but not as well on rough concrete. My intentions are to use the broom indoors and it is perfect for that. It doesn't take long to sweep a large area with this 2 ft. wide broom. I found that the steel center section of the handle, being larger in diameter, was a slight inconvenience to me. Also, the lower wood section of the handle was slightly warped. But overall, this is a good broom and it does good job. I did like the way the head of the broom was held together with steel bracing. It's a good tool!

Love the long handle
This broom does an excellent job on our cement driveway - no little particles leaving a trail behind. The sturdiness of this product is superior. The long handle is comfortable and gives you a great extended reach while still having good control. On the short indoor carpet I had to pull, nor push, but it really brought dirt up to surface for our vac.- that I know doesn't suck the dirt through even with the short nap. Product was easy, intuitive really, as far as assembly. IMO the only drawback was the extra long screws by to brace on the lower handle. Sooner or later they will likely catch on something.

Industrial quality broom
I do a lot of wood working and I have an unfinished concrete garage floor. It's kind of hard to clean with your off-the-shelf shop broom, so I was ver pleased with how this broom worked on it. It seems to have a much finer bristle head than my last broom and does a better job of getting down to the dust that gets into the imperfections in my concrete floor. It came in pieces, but was simple to put together. You just push both wooden handle pieces into the center plastic piece and tap the end of the handle a few times and it cinches together tightly. Then there are 2 metal stabalizer brackets that you screw into the broom head and bolt to the handle, which is made of a good hard wood, like a baseball bat. It feels very substantial when you're using it. I like the blue color of the bristles, too. Wish it came with a hole in the end of the handle to hang it with, but I can easily drill one through it. Great broom!

Excellent broom
The harper indoor outdoor dry all purpose broom is excellent crafted and engineered. The broom is made of hardwood handle and head with nylon bristles and metal hardware to take years of abuse with no problem. The broom comes knock down in three pieces for the handle and the head. The handle is very simple to put together the no tools needed. It simply slides together with a metal splice tube that the two hardwood handles pieces wedge into place. The handle attaches to the head with a heavy bolt and nice outrigger setup to give it nice side to side support so it doesn't bend and snap.

Solid
This Harper brand brush is pretty nice. Harper is a division of Ames Companies. AMES is the leading manufacturer of hand-powered landscaping tools in the world and one of the oldest consumer brands in the United States. This particular broom is solid. It feels hefty at 5 pounds which is what you want in a push broom, as the weight helps bristle to floor pressure. The two wood handle pieces will fit into the center plastic piece. Excellent real wood and the plastics on this broom are a commercial, heavy duty type. Assembly was very simple. It will require a 1/2 and 7/16 wrench/socket for assembly. The bristles are plentiful and tightly embedded into the wood head. Quality product that should last for years and years.
