Q:What if I am a renter or I have carpet, is there a package where I don't have to drill into the floor?

A:  The lock needs to sit on a hard flat surface. the company offers a custom VHB adhesive tape that can work where a user cannot drill holes into the flooring. However, the carpet does need to be removed so the lock can sit on the sub flooring.

    A:  Thats simple, the Connect lock comes with an internal re-chargeable battery. Your mobile app tells you battery charge percentage. When you need to re-charge your lock, we include a USB wall charging adapter to plug into your lock that will recharge the battery. This plug port can be found under the left electronics wing. You only need to charge the lock once every 12-18 months depending on daily usage.

      A:  As of (Feb 2021) the Haven Connect Bluetooth lock does not work with Nest. We are adding new integrations and Nest is on the road map. Currently The Connect Bluetooth lock works with Alexa.

        A:  The battery will last over 12 months on a single charge and the app tells you the exact percentage of charge. If the lock battery gets below 20% it sends you alerts to re-charge. If you ignore the low battery notifications all together, the lock will not engage past 10% and will unlock in the safe position.

          A:  "If your HAVEN battery dies, your HAVEN Connect can be locked and unlocked using the manual foot pedal, but you will not be able to lock and unlock with the app or key fob until the unit is recharged." So if you don't have another door you can get in you're not going to want to install this product. I would suggest having one door with 'manual' locks that you can get into.

              Product was easy to install for one of our exterior doors. I also got on for inside the house for extra security. Solid well built product. The bluetooth and key sharing is also convenient. I like that veterans run this company. Recommend this to anyone looking for peace of mind.

                Expensive with No Support
                Ordered a few of these for clients. The lock is quite expensive for what it is although it does work. The low rating is because the company has no support, difficult to get in touch with and had issues with them not shipping entire orders or fulfilling them incorrectly and then not correcting the issue. Very poor customer service. I wouldn’t recommend based on my very negative experiences with the company.

                  I returned the 4 I bought. The description never said you need about 3/4” below the door to clear the locking plate. I guess this would work if you had carpet just inside the door, or even wood floors. You could cut out a pocket for the lock to be recesse. Good concept, IDK HOW IT WORKS FOR ANYONE.
