Way better then Intex's crap strainer
Its works so.much better then the crappy intex strainer that clips onto the side of the pool. This with the proper size hose or pipe (id recommend hard piping it in), actually sucks floating debris into it. Also the included attachment for the vacuum hose makes vacuum hookup super easy.

swapped for season master
I purchased this one to replace my season master skimmer. The old skimmer did not have a threaded fitting. Our setup was done in pvc and we couldnt complete the job because the old skimmer didnt have a removable bottom and it was just 1”. This was a direct replacement and pretty easy install. IF you use the winter AQUA DOOR, you CANT use the trim piece that comes with this set. I reused our Aqua door trim piece and it worked fine. The only thing is, the old trim piece was discolored. Next time I would buy a new aqua door set too.
