This HDX reinforced stackable 27 gallon heavy-duty tough tote will handle any storage job ranging from general storage needs to extreme storage jobs. The tote includes a black base made from durable recycled polypropylene and a yellow reinforced snap-fit lid to secure and protect your valuables. This tote is a perfect option for the meticulous organizer who demands the very best in heavy-duty storage and protection. Integrated slots make the tote lockable to keep away unwanted intruders. This tote includes innovative tie-down channels that allow it to be easily strapped down for simple transportation and fits most Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers.

A:  Hello Ellen, Thank you for your question on our HDX 70 Gallon Tough Tote w/Wheels in Black/Yellow. The thickness of the storage tote is 0.100” with Exterior dimensions (at top of tote): 45 in. Please not that a gasket seal is not included in the lid that would prevent water or moisture to leak through.         Strong sturdy looks good
        We bought 10 of them and came back for 10 more for the garage. For the price they are the best ones we’ve found. They are strong and they stack up perfectly, We have them stacked up four high, but have heavy items in them. Could probably go higher.

        Lids shatter and cannot be bought separately.
        These totes are integral to our Disaster Response operations. I have 24 of the 102L totes that we use on a regular basis. My biggest complaint about these totes is that the plastic lids become very brittle in the cold and tend to crack and shatter. Since one cannot buy the lids separately, we have to buy a whole new tote every time we break a lid. The second issue I have with these totes is that HD chooses only to buy the black totes with yellow lids. It would be nice to be able to buy other colours of lids. This would make it easier to organize storage. Other retailers who sell the exact same totes sell with different colour lids, so why can HD?

          I recently purchased the 12 Gal. Tough Storage Tote in Black with Yellow Lid and I am so pleased with the product.             The tough storage tote is sturdy and met my expectations but the lids are a flimsy plastic that shatters if bumped, pressured down or singularly dropped! I have two lids that I will need to return, one received cracked and the other from normal pressure to close!

              We are moving and they looked strong so we purchased one lg and three smaller ones hopefully they will hold up with the movers. So before the move I’m happy with them we will see after the move if they make it I will definitely let you know!

              The containers are great, big in size and low in price. The only thing is that the lids are weak. But if you dont over stuff it or put too much weight it will do the job. I was still able to stack 4 containers up without damaging the lids. My kids broke one lid by playing with it. Worth it.
