5-Tier Plastic Garage Storage Shelving Unit in Gray (36 in. W x 72 in. H x 24 in. D)

I like to see what is stored in my garage so cabinets are not my choice. I have had one unit like these shelves for 7 years and it remains sturdy. I bought 4 more and, with easy assembly, my garage is attractive, organized, and stuff does not get lost.

Easiest furniture I ever put together. It’s literally just setting the shelves on the legs. It took maybe 10 minutes to assemble and it looks great. Very sturdy. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I’ve bought a number of these same shelving units over the years. The current ones are way more expensive since the last time. But, they’re still very sturdy and the manufacturer has fixed the issues that made a difficult assembly prior. You needed a mallet and your body weight before. Now, snaps together in 2-3 minutes. Still some cosmetic flash issues, but don’t impede the function, just unsightly. One hole that wasn’t shipping related. I’d still buy again if I need led more.

I have purchased these shelves in the past and love them. I needed to add another and the quality control has serious opportunities. Yellow and brown stains everywhere and strings of plastic from bad molds. Disappointing.

Beware!!! I bought some a few years ago and they were nice. But I I just bought a few more and the quality has gone way down, but price has hone way up. Almost every shelf with areas of discolored yellow, and the injection molding quality is really bad with strings of plastic hanging off than need to be cut. Also brown stains I can't figure out. Definitely going to return, but once you open them they go everywhere. What a pain for both me and some poor HD employee at the return counter🙄!

It took less than 10 minutes to assemble and fill these shelves. They’re not heavy duty, but they’re exactly what I needed.

Great shelf for non heated/cooled utility room. All plastic and sturdy.

Flipped sideways they make a great storage solution for pillows.

Purchased and assembled this shelf yesterday (Nov 22). My impressions: - had to return and exchange one shelf due to a manufacturing defect (warped plastic not visible when packaged). No hastle exchange but .... Grrrr. No quality control? - Made in Canada but quality 3/5. Lots of plastic on the legs needs to be trimmed off because I guess the molds are warn or not well constructed. Top surface of the shelf has some areas that are not properly formed/textured (shelf mold/manufacturing requirement?). Feels solid and well designed but production quality could be improved. - the black edges on 3 shelves were not properly seated. I had to pull and cut several pieces of black and gray plastic from the joints then *bang* the black edge back into place. My guess is that there is little or no quality control (or someone was asleep at the time). Again Made in Canada but disappointing quality. - assembly is easy although some legs/feet/caps are tight, some are somewhat loose. After assembly, lifting the unit from the top caused several of the legs to detatch from the shelf(s) so it needs to be dragged or lifted from the bottom. It would be nice if the legs 'locked' into place (maybe by twisting them? I'm not a mechanical designer but suspect it could easily and cheaply be improved) - it is not possible to buy spare parts although after returning the defective shelf, the HD associate allowed me to purchase a second shelf (for another project - $15) from a pkg opened for the replacement shelf. Kudos to him. - the overall design is good and the assembled shelfing unit feels solid. Unlike a comparable cheaper unit, the legs and shelf edges are square so usable shelf space is maximized (nice design poorly manufactured though) Another suggestion to improve the design is to allow separate units to be attached together somehow (with a clip or ?). There are square holes in the bottom of each shelf but their purpose is unknown (to me). - no 1-800 number to request spare parts or assistance. No website to provide feedback. I suppose since this is manufactured by HDX (Home Depot), someone monitors customer feedback such as this. Bottom line, I would buy this shelf again but would unpackage it and examine all components before leaving the premises.
