While I understand that these bags are designed for paint, could they alternatively be used for cooking; in other words are they food safe?
Asked by: axm54
Item description says " straining all types of liquids". People seem to use them for food without ill effects. I believe I would at least dampen and microwave them to kill any lurking germs as you do with sponges to keep them fresh and safe.

What are the bag dimensions, when laid flat?

It's labeled at 5 gallons, but says it's 6 inches wide. That can't be right. I would expect something like 12-18 x 18-24 inches, to line a 5-gallon bucket.
Asked by: Tim
Just a quick reminder the bags are meant to strain paint, so they would not fill the entire 5 gallon bucket. There needs to be room for the fresh paint to pool.

Asked by: steve
I called Home Depot and was told that they are 600-micron filters.
