What percent acid is this product? Another review reports that this information is not on the label. Thanks.

Asked by: GrizzLeague
Better check that MSDS again... it lists the acidity as 4-6% but they can't get toooo specific as the exact concentration is a protected trade secret!

What is the acidity percentage?

Most white vinegars are 5%. I am looking for 10% but the information provided here does not tell.
Asked by: Marti
The SDS (Safety Data Sheet), which is linked on this page, states that the acidity is between 4 and 6%.

I'm sorry, but I checked my bottle thoroughly, and there is no percentage given for acidity. The website might indicate this, if you scroll down far enough.

can I use this on my front door? Or should I stick with regular white vinegar?

can I use this on my front door? Or should I stick with regular white vinegar?
Asked by: princess
Try a small spot with household white vinegar...should work fine. Buy this and find out it is weaker and wasted $$...or dilute your vinegar with water 25% and get about the same.

Needed a heavier acidic cleaner to get sprinkler calcium spots off of exterior windows. So I did the dumb and assumed this cleaner was stronger. Well not sure if I really got Vinegar...can't smell vinegar AND there was no seal when I opened the lid. Did someone use the Vinegar, fill with water and return to store...now checking HD on line and it can be weaker than normal consumptive type vinegar...really don't want to pay more and get less acedic acid. Will be going to the dollar store and returning this item. I don't need to work harder!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not professional strength I agree with the other reviews. Don't say that you're professional strength if you are no stronger than the other vinegar you can buy anywhere else.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poorly labeled Unlike most vinegars, this bottle does not have the concentration percentage on the label. The MSDS states is 4-6% with the exact amount witheld as a "trade secret". Most grocery store white vinegar is 5%. It works, but its not worth a premium and gets a ding for deliberately hiding an imortant detail on the label.

UNKNOWN acid content. You get what you pay for so likely they dilute the 'normal' 5% down to whatever they want. The SDS states that the concentration is a "trade secret"??? WHAT SECRET??? It has acetic acid just like EVERY other vinegar.

Cooking vinegar just doesn't work as well as this, so it's worth the special trip. I usually buy two at a time and keep them in different parts of the house. I use this primarily as fabric softener in my laundry and to keep my appliances clean, but it's great for cleaning pretty much anything. Do be careful to dilute it properly, as it is stronger than your typical grocery store vinegar.
