Will this work for spreading contact cement?

Typically contact cement is applied with a roller or a brush.(as a film) The Contact cement is applied to both the substrate and the back of the material that is being applied to the substrate. Great little trowel for home projects. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and cleans up easily after use . These are inexpensive, so I just toss it out after the job is done. The is the second time I have purchased one.
