Will it drive a 1" brad nail into solid walnut (a very hard wood) well?
Asked by: yowzermiller
I have used this nailer a lot around the house in the last year. We've done a lot of re-modeling...but I have to be honest...have not tried it on Walnut. My best guess it that it would work...not 100% sure...

Pneumatic 2 in. x 18-Gauge Brad Nailer is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 83.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was reluctant in purchasing this inexpensive gun nailer, but... I was reluctant in purchasing this inexpensive gun nailer, but I am very satisfied after using it. In the directions, it does not tell you how and where to put drops of their that came with the gun. I put 3 drops of oil in the gun’s air fitting before connecting to my compressor. No problem at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They nailed it (Great Brad Nailer) Pneumatic 2in. x 18-gauge Brad Nailer Love this product. I re-did the moldings in my house and this product is a must. I’ve used finish screws before as well as finished nails and both suck compared to using a brad nailer. The brads hold so much better. Also, this brad nailer is lightweight and easy to use on ceiling crown molding. It doesn’t wear out your arms. I was also happy with the depth it drove the brads. It didn’t overshoot. I’ve included some pictures. The nailer comes with lubrication, however, the manual says the nailer is designed to be low maintenance. So far I see that as true. If you are doing moldings then this is a product you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3/8 to 2" Brad Nailer is a Solid Performer This is a sweet little brad nailer. Very well made and a good looking nailer. It will handle 3/8 to 2 inch, 18 gauge brads, so there's more flexibility. Simple to load. It's handy for doing trim, cabinets and such. It's light and easy to handle, but rock solid. I fired ten brads quickly into a board without any jams or misfeeds. The exhaust is adjustable, just rotate the head in the direction that you need. This will replace the one that I had been using. It's a great time saver.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight Brad Nailer This brad nailer is made of die-cast aluminum for a lightweight design that is easy to handle. The trigger (paddle) is thin, and is padded rubber grip for better comfort.. The gun has a reload indicator so you will know when the side-load magazine is running low.of nails. The exhaust port is adjustable in a 360-degree so you can direct air away from your face and away from your projects. The magazine can load up to 100 piece capacity. One nice feature is the air fitting has a dust cap when storing it or while is disconnected it will keep dirt or debris from getting in the nail gun. The brad nailer is compatible with all brands of 18-gauge 3/8 Inch - 2 Inch brad nails. Only found two negative side to the nail gun there isn't any adjustment for the depth of the brad nail so you will have to adjust it with the air pressure. The second is if the brad nail jambs there is no quick way to access the firing mechanism to remove the brad nail. I haven't experience any misfires but they will happen sometime in the future. All in all it's a nice brad nailer.. It's a good for the DIY, for a true professional they might upgrade to higher end one. For the small jobs around the house it's perfect for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the DIYer This is a great brad nailer that gets the job done. I just pushed 40 or 50 2" nails through the nailer and it didn't jam even once. I tinkered with different pressure settings on my air compressor and found that 100 PSI is where it seems to work best. The nailer is light weight and easy as pie to load. At the top is a neat feature that allows you to direct the exhaust any direction. No negaitves with this nailer, affordable and great for the DIYer.

Worked really well for all sorts of moulding and trim. Brads are almost unnoticeable. You can't beat the price, I'm surprised it was so nice and reasonable.. I do have the advantage of borrowing an air compressor from my job and the hook up was easy with no issues. Great purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cheap Nail gun I got this to put up trim that I took down to insulate gaps and it worked extremely well. There is no power adjustment on the gun itself so you have to adjust your compressor between 60psi and 150psi. I used 100psi to do my trim and it worked fantastic. Never jammed on me.
