AnswersNO - the pole is 3-piece telescopic requiring 3 separate diameters. The smaller diameter (7/8”) is closest to the net, the middle section diameter (1”), and the largest diameter (1 1/8”) is at the handle. The net is permanently attached to the pole.

This skimmer is great for a quick skim before taking a dip!
It does not replace a heavy duty leaf rake or skimmer that is used with a standard telescopic pole, but it is light and easy to use for small jobs.

I like the idea of a teleschoping pole, but the pole is flimsy and when you put in water to skim pool it flexes.

The slight flex or bow does not indicate a lack of sturdiness , but rather works toward a well functioning unit. We hope you will use the pole for a bit and update us with your thoughts then.
