A: There is nothing about this or any vent that I am aware of that will mitigate discoloration to siding caused by vented bathroom air. However, I have never run into a situation where vented bathroom air has been the cause of discoloration. I have run into kitchen exhaust causing grease stains on the sides of housing. The solution there filtering out the grease.
A: I am not sure we have a common understanding of the term damper. I would consider the movable flapper part of this product to be a damper. It is this flapper to which you attach a small be of siding so that it blends into the home’s exterior. The product consists of essentially two parts. The frame with nailing flange and the flapper door.
A: I take it that your window has a vent built in. However that is not a standardized thing that I am familiar with. Therefore I am not able to give you a definitive answer as to the practicality of this product. If you scroll down the Home Depot product listing page you will come to a section entitled Product Details. There you will find PDF’s of the product documents. Perhaps by reviewing the specification sheet you or the potential installer can assess the feasibility.
A: It is white.
A: Its off white/ like cream
A: Light tan ,you can paint to natch
A: This produce comes from the factory in an off white color but it can be painted. However, I would suggest you watch the videos on the product listing page as your question indicates you may not fully understand the unique nature of this product. This vent has been manufactured with the idea that a piece of siding would be attached to it so it would fit into the background and not be visible. Thus it would take on the color of the siding.
