Can you weld on 2” or 2 7/8 pipe for a fence
Asked by Ruben April 25, 2020
Can you built something with ? Like a fence maybe or it only works for minor repairs on metal?
Asked by JO February 11, 2020
I have found that it works best with 1/16 rod or 1/8 rod. You have to crank it up high and weld slow but it works .....
can you get longer leads for this welder?
Asked by cody January 30, 2020
I dont think you can order any but I went and bought heavier longer cable and used the plugs off of original cable
Does the engine idle @ low rpm, or does it always run at 3600 rpm?
Asked by Peter December 21, 2019
Mine always runs at the higher RPM
Says portable but has no wheels. How do you move it?
Asked by Reffie December 2, 2019
I bought one of those flat 4 wheel dolly's from harbor freight and bolted it to that .
how many amps does the welder have
Asked by will November 30, 2019
Not sure but I know does not work very well with 1/8 rod even on max setting. Works ok with 3/32 rod but still small arc so you have weld pretty slowly...
the product description says it is not recommended for use over altitudes of 3000 feet. we live ...
Asked by Idahoguy October 31, 2019
The specs state it’s not recommended for over 3,000 ft elevation. Why is that?
Asked by TheRogue1 October 31, 2019
Most gas engines run rich at higher altitudes and certainly lose some power. I had cheap harbor freight 1k generator at about 8k ft in utah this summer and it did ok. I think 3k ft would be ok but when you get above 9 or 10k I think it would not run very good unless you re jet the carburetor
