Makes it easy
These Stainless steel flexible lines take a lot of the work and trouble out of installing a water heater. They are available in different lengths depending on your needs. They flex easily enough and the EPDM washer makes a water tight and long lasting connection. Don't bend the line too sharply, maintain a gentle radius. The instructions on the nut call for hand tightening and 1/4 turn more. That is all it needs. Over tightening will ruin the washer, let it do the sealing, not the torque. I especially like these because they do not contain a rubber liner. In the past I have had odor and taste in connectors with rubber liners. The Stainless Steel these are made of will not give off any odor or taste. And no corrosion worries.
