HOLDRITE TestRite 3 in. ABS Test/Cleanout Tee with Plug
I got this because it was listed as a cleanout tee. When I got it home I found it was more, it can also be used to pressure test 3" vertical or horizontal pipe installations.
Though it works great as a clean out it is more than needed for most DIY projects. It comes in 3 pieces which make up the cleanout tee. The design makes the TEE less likely to clog due to debris catching on the edge of the a standard TEE. See photos. The plug is removed for testing but is required for normal use. The plug fits in a rail and requires you to tighten into place with a spanner ring.
By using this TEE, you save time and work because you don't have to replace or remove fittings in order to pressure test a line. The tee installs in-line between DWV pipe sections and allows the DWV line to be temporarily blocked for testing. The tee comes with a clean out plug, which remains in after the test.
To fully utilize this TEE you will need the TESTRITE removable/reusable test wedge, which allows temporary blocking of the DWV stack for testing

I like this product for two reasons: 1. The flush plug has many grooves in it so I can easily thread it tight or easily loosen it to be able to use this tee as a clean-out tee. I prefer these grooves to the other flat indentation on other style flush plugs (because those styles I can never find the exact flat bar to be able to tighten or loosen them properly). 2. Another great feature of this tee is that you can buy a special insert that fits easily into the tee body (that doesn't need inflating - like other products) that can be used to test the lines for leaks.It is used with the grooved nut to keep the test fitting in & then after the testing it is removed & the regular body insert is placed back & the grooved nut tightens it in place. There is also a cavity in the body insert to receive a screw that would hold a clean-out cover in place if you want to add it.
