AnswerFor the window opening width of 27", if you want to mount the shutter inside the window frame, please select out shutter width of 27" (fits width in 27" to 29"), if you want to do outside mount, please at least select the width of 31". (min. fits window width of 26-5/8").

Ridiculously easy
I put these up in my bathroom and could not believe how easy they were to install. When ordering, the height of these shutters matched the height of my window, but the width was a couple of inches shy. To my delight and surprise, these shutters come with 1/8 inch strips so you can increase the width up to about 2 inches or so. All you need is a drill, a bit, a ruler, and a pencil. So easy and good looking. Very pleased.

Great Looking and EASY to install
I wanted some coverage for a ground floor powderoom window that would let in the light, but provide full privacy when closed. This louvered shutter is the perfect solution: easy to install and when opened, looks like a pair of shutters in the room. It arrived directly to the house in perfect condition.....a great buy for a pre-painted wood product.

Be Careful if you have tilt in windows and want to mount these inside the window frame
Shipping was fast and arrived on time. We measured very carefully and the windows fit perfectely. Only problem is we mounted them as an "Inside" mount and now our windows will not tilt in for cleaning The speacers on either side of the shutter make it to wide for the windows to tilt in without having to remove the shutters. the shutters do not come in a width that would allow us to mount them in an "outside configuration.

Hard to beat value
Ordered same shutter from homedepot online about five years ago. Finally decided to get a set for the other bathroom. Both times the packaging arrived in tact but there were flaws with the product. First time the pole connecting the slats was damaged an discolored, second time edge of shutter casing was damaged. Poor qc at factory probably to blame. Either way decided not to return and just install as I found the price and value hard to beat. Damage was relatively minor and I was able to fix myself. Installation is made easy with the additonal shims however I had to cut the shutters to length which I knew going in
