Well packed, well made, good looking
I bought 2 Cottage Oak and Stainless Buffets with 1 Hutch top for our kitchen in our old farmhouse. These 5 boxes were the best packed and protected DIY furniture I ever purchased. (I filled up 5 large Hefty trash bags with all the packing materials!) The wood is solid and the units are very sturdy. They were not perfect. There were a couple of small surface nicks, but they can be easily touched up with a furniture pen. The doors on one buffet were not perfectly alligned, but I slipped a small piece of cardboard behind each bottom hinge on the inside, and that solved that problem. These two imperfections were not deal-breakers for these units that cost about $600 and change. If you were to buy similar quality already assembled, you would easily pay twice as much. Total assembley time for the units was about 4 hours. (The second buffet and the hutch went together faster once I assembled the first buffet.) As far as the holes on the top of the hutch that other folks have mentioned (where the factory attached the molding), I'm not a professional basketball player, so I don't think I'll ever see them again unless I'm on a ladder. I think they are well worth the money, and we are pleased with them.

This hutch was a really nice product until I put the top on. There are large holes drilled into the top that have no purpose. When I contact Customer Service, they apologized and sent a replacement top. The replacement had the same holes. When I emailed them again, I was told that those holes are used to attached the molding to the top. That person had no clue what they were talking about.
See attached photos. The drilling was not even done well as the edges of the holes are not flush with the surface. If you are planning on putting the hutch where the top will be visible, you may want to reconsider your purchase.

This piece exceeded expectations! It is well made and attractive. Assembly took a couple of hours and was somewhat challenging for a modestly skilled diy'er, but successful! We added a piece of plexiglass to the surface area to protect it from liquids, which works very well!

The top had 10 open 1/4 inch screw holes drilled...
The top had 10 open 1/4 inch screw holes drilled into it which I had to plug with flat topped 1/4 inch furniture plugs to make the top smooth. Top is high enough that holes/plugs are not visible but still-poor workmanship. See "customer questions" concerning this item.

+++The quality of the wood is good does not feel cheap like particleboard. I like the passthrough in the middle section allows electric appliance. Not hard to build (compare to Ikea) however still took under 2hrs to complete. ---The doors are not adjustable and its slightly slanted. Not noticiable. Also for this price point i expect soft closing hinges.
