The pantry is solid wood for all of the load-bearing frame materials (Base, sides, shelves, door frames). The only manufactured wood is in the paneling and some support pieces.
No, this doesn't come assembled.

No, none of our Home Styles products have a Prop 65 warning.
Hey Barb, good question. Of course all color is subjective, but most customers describe our product as an "ivory creamy" or "Antique white" that has a little hint of yellow. Definitely not bright white. Looking at your photo, however, I think that this pantry with the maple finish might match better!
Good question. Unfortunately the toe kick and trim cover up structural parts of the pantry, and those parts can not be removed to make the pantry shorter.
We do not have it secured to the wall.....it's not necessary as it's heavy and sturdy enough standing alone.. It's well built and a great asset to our kitchen!
Engineered wood is made from a process where wood chips and scraps from natural whole wood is shredded into small pieces and then mixed with glue and pressed into a "new board" It sometime is referred to as "particle board" It is less expensive than whole natural wood as it is made from scraps. The wood is usually painted, coated or laminated with natural wood sheets giving it a nice natural appearance. Many self-assembled shelf and cabinets are made this way. Some are made poorly and do not hold up very well but the Nantucket Black Food Pantry here is very well made and looks very nice. It is a good value for the money. I was happy with my purchase of this item. The one down side of any engineered wood cabinet or shelf is that you must exercise care during the assembly process, follow the instructions carefully and avoid over tightening hardware as that can cause damage during assembly.
